@Cornelius, the steps you provided worked for a while, but after stopping the game for a while, I kept getting the same error about not being connected to Xbox Live. I'm not going to create a new profile each time I want to play. Furthermore, when I try and connect to one of the public / external servers, it tells me I must be connected to XBL. This is something internal with MC not connecting to XBL, and not a profile issue as Microsoft tried to write it off as. This submission is not the only one with similar reports of not being able to connect to Realms or servers, yet all of them remain unconfirmed. Mojang, anything from your end about picking up on this and finding a fix?

Same issue. My game says that you need to be connected to Xbox Live, but I'm already connected and signed in to the account I purchased Minecraft Xbox One Editoin.

I'm having this same issue since installing the Better Together Update. I've gotten it to connect to Xbox Live once, but not since. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft, as well as resetting my console. No joy. And unfortunately after uninstalling both the Better Together and Xbox One Edition, I can no longer install the Xbox One Edition, and now can't play online using my Realm. Is someone with Mojang going to confirm this and get this issue resolved?
