Yes, this issue is ongoing as I type this. My realm, a few minutes ago kicked me out after stalling. Blocks wouldn’t drop, mobs were frozen, etc. After attempting to log in again it said I couldn’t log in because my profile was already on the world. I tried resetting the game and closing the realm, but both attempts were in vain. I’m currently sitting with a realm I cannot access or log into.
And to answer if experimental was on, no, this is a vanilla world.
For those still affected, I have found a workaround to this issue. If you’re willing to do it every time, you can reenter the realm code and it should let you bypass the bug, at least, that’s how it’s been for me. Hope this helps
This issue has been persisting for me ever since the 1.16.200 update. It affects me across all devices, pocket, Xbox, windows, etc. I am the host, and it also applies to when I join other realms too. This is happening to all of my realm members as well.
Edit: it also has nothing to do with my own connection. I’ve used various WiFi sources besides my own household connection.
Edit 2: I don’t want to try to be the one who brings this up, but I do feel like everyone else is thinking the same thing. This issue has been happening for two months now. I would like to actually hear back and see what exactly is happening in the process of fixing this issue. Has the cause of the issue been found? Has the team tasked with fixing it had any break through? Should we anticipate an update anytime soon? I am sorry, but, knowing I can currently list off literal hundreds of other players with this exact issue, it is bothering me that we don’t get as much feedback to us about the current situation.
Likewise, after 1.19.40, my friend and I cannot connect to any realms whatsoever. We only noticed because one of his friends tipped us off that 3 of our realms are not accessible. We are always met with the "Unable to connect to realm" message every time.
