Thank you for your help. After re-evaluating we’ve determined that when I send an invite to him - he doesn’t get the pop up notification this he can’t join when invited.
I wrongly assumed he could then see “online friend” (me) and join me there but this is what didn’t further work.
When I tried joining his game from the “online friend” area - I had no success joining his game without his express invite.
So when he invites me from his android device to my iOS within minecraft - I get the notification and access. When the reverse - no notification or access to him with the invite I try sending.
frustrated.

I had this same issue on my iPhone bedrock. Solution: going to the screen that logs you out of your Microsoft account - logout. Then quit/reset and go back to that screen to log in. This solved it for me. I noticed during these steps that although it showed my username on the top of the screen, that the username “Steve” was somehow showing on the login - so logging out etc then actively logging back in to my Microsoft account fixed things.
[media]Same issues here. No marketplace access. My coins say zero (although I didn’t have a zero balance) and the error message saying perhaps internet issue. No internet issues. No problem playing game.
how angry would I be if I was paying for realm access without being able to play realms.
We’ve rechecked all settings and separately reset our devices multiple times and now suddenly he can join my game as “friends online” and I can do the same. Odd. Success without expectation. Thank you for your help.
