(and @turbo )
The original behaviour (at least for the copper bulb) was intended, as confirmed by kingbdogz on Twitter:
[media]This bug report shows inconsistencies between the Crafter and Droppers, so that's a bug. At least if MC-265910 also is a valid bug report.

The community was happy with the newly-added blocks and Mojang doesn't seem to like making the redstone community happy, so they made the best blocks worse.
That's the bug.
I have found that out with experimenting around, that's why I have written "opened the chests before" in the description 😉
But now I know a little bit more about Minecraft, thanks! 😃👍
I couldn't interact with any other interactive blocks and portals didn't teleport me - so I thought I wasn't supposed to be able to open interact with chests...
And when I tried it with the second instance I tried to open the chests first-time from the shulker's point of view, without opening them before - and got a little red text at the bottom of the screen, saying that I couldn't open the chest because the contents haven't been loaded. Is that intentional? I didn't even know that chest's contents aren't loaded before opening them, I thought otherwise because when you stack filled chests into each other they produce lag.
Well, when I try to log in through any means in the site, after logging in it immediately rediects me to a “successfully logged out” page telling me to close all browser windows.
But I managed to bypass the insta-logout by logging in (with my existing credentials, don’t know if that is because I may have done the same work-around earlier already) through https://minecraftfeedback.zendesk.com/auth/v2/login/ . It even redirected me to the same page I was previously on before logging in, even though I opened the link in a new tab.
