This bug is still affecting me in v1.13.1 and I am still unable to play Bedrock for longer than a minute on any of my saved worlds as a result. Seems like Mojang wants to kill off Bedrock with all of these unsolved bugs 😞
The diagram is a simplified illustration of how to reproduce the bug.
The behavior of a hopper is that when it is activated it should be disabled and therefore not allow items to pass through.
The diagram illustrates that this is not the case.
And yes, the behavior also manifests with a chest as the middle part of the chain.
This sometimes happens when villagers open/close doors.
The reason I am adding this comment is to point out that if non-player entities cause the same glitch, it should help diagnosis by eliminating keyboard/mouse/controller input causes.
I am still seeing this issue in 1.0.7
I have tried 14 farmer villagers (actual farmers, not just any old brown coat), half are cured zombie villagers and the other half are naturally born.
This is in survival on a non-cheat MS realm running Win 10 version 1.0.6
Villagers all have empty inventories to start with.
No villagers have been killed or hurt.
There are 10 doors exposed to the sky with a "detector" villager eight blocks away.
Observations:
A) Farmer villagers will not pick up wheat seeds that I throw at them, even with an empty inventory.
B) They will harvest wheat crops but will leave the wheat seeds on the ground to despawn.
C) If I throw bread to them, they will pick up the bread. If they see a hungry villager they will then share the bread.
D) If I throw carrots or potatoes to them they will plant/harvest those.
I have followed the breeding mechanics closely. What works on the Java codebase does not work in Bedrock.
