yes we are still having the same issue. HUD controls are not hidden in settings. 
In fact they are not hidden when you first go on the world but they always disappear after less than 5 minutes play...

 

Having the same issues with brute laggyness. Most piston related redstonecircles are horribly slow. If I try to line a boat, getting in another and start to move the line will tear apart every few seconds because of laggs...it even seems to effect the spawning sometimes. Sucks pretty hard 

Sorry for all the doubles... mobile version got me pretty mad 

got really disappointed when this happened to me. so i had to remove beds, furnaces, barrels, etc... im planning to just not mess with the chests at all, and wait for next update when its a new version, fixed bugs etc. im hoping the bug will be resolved.

Jep, same for me. 1.6.4 and still no changes, but 1.7.2. fixed it

This issue ( for me - OS X Mavericks ) is already solved in 1.7.2. ... Be happy. ;D
