I will highlight that this is still an issue and it also affects that if there is such a glitched item in your inventory, and the game tries to pick up other items, there is a chance that the item it attempted to pick up fails and ends up invisible in the world and floating around as an invisible entity. A large risk of losing shulkers of items this way.
Yes, the targetted intent is not how it is implemented. So from the perspective of how it is implemented now this is a bug that it keeps emitting. So there are two ways to fix it. Either remove the extra signal emitted when all books are removed. Or implement the targetted bookslot mechanic so that a specific book can be removed so that it will emit the signal strength representing that slot.
Allowing specific slots to be removed or placed with books would allow for more decoration variants as well. But I presume how the texture works as well wouldnt really allow for that kind of shift without doing all possible slot combinations as textures and make a mask/table lookup for it.
This is still a major issue on many multi player servers that crash regularly because of this. I would hope this is in next week's 1.19.23 hotfix update 😉
This can happen when you try to use sponges to clear out water if you've sectioned off with solid blocks (like stone solid blocks). The stone block gets waterlogged.
You can also pillar blocks up through other blocks with swift sneak and crouching while moving horizontally, a vertical pillar can be piled up through other blocks with this.
In the current latest Bedrock 1.18 version this is still valid. I have zombie piglins spawn into existence in my nether gold farm, take a few steps towards a turtle egg and despawn before they reach it. Its not consistent in that it happens to all of them all the time, but enough to reduce the rates.
Its on a BDS if that makes any difference.
I have tried this in 1.17.41.1 and I can still reproduce it using the same contraption. After 5 minutes, the stack is visually despawned, unloading the chunk and coming back again, the stack is there and the redstone lamp never goes out. The pressure plate is still activated.
I made one of silents villager breeders where they are capped with slabs, two babies ended up behind the fences below and when they grew up, they swapped places with their parents and the parents dropped down instead by jumping out/ejected out of the boats.
This is in 1.17.40.6
This is still active in Bedrock Edition 1.17.11. Even with simulation distance of 4, a newborn villager once raised to adulthood found and bound to a workstation over 120 blocks away with no path available to it for them. I had to break all other workstations at that site for it to drop the profession. Then villagers that had previously been traded with and had a bound profession started switching workstations as well despite having one right next to them.
They can also teleport onto half slabs
