I have this exact issue and it's very annoying.  When I save and close and reopen the lights disappear, but then they show up again as I move further along the terrain.

This is an odd one:  I have the issue on Minecraft for Windows and with my PS4 and PS5, however oddly, I've not encountered it on my Switch as yet.

Many thanks, Cederick - much appreciated.

To me, the issue is completely resolved on the PlayStation 4/5, but I realize that for a lot of people out there it still persists, so I hope this is still being investigated.  I am going to move over to MCPE-36670, as I'm having the issue on the Switch, and I suggest anyone in the same boat as me move over there as well.

I had this issue with my PS4 and PS5 (MCPE-102459), but a couple of updates ago it was fixed and so I assumed that it was fixed on all bedrock, so I got a brand new Switch, the game card version of Minecraft, and a nice 512GB MicroSD card.  It is currently the only game on the system, but here we go again, after loading a bunch of my add ons I'm getting that familiar error, so I'm stuck.  I have no worlds, I haven't got that far yet.  Given the amount of space I have, and that it's currently the only game on the system it's completely impossible for my Switch to actually have run out of space.

@Salamander Feist - Same with me, what a relief!  The only problem I've since had is that my largest world sometimes has difficulty loading.  I get just sky everywhere with the occasional visible sheep, or I end up with purple-and-black-check world, or it refuses to load with a not enough space error, none of which I've had before.  It's fine though as it rights itself after a few restarts/reboots, so it's a small price to pay!

After 2.3.4, still the same issue.  However, after 2.35 it's resolved for me!  I was able to download all 73 of my addons with no errors.  I couldn't believe it!!  This has been an issue for such a long time I feel quite emotional that it's all over.  I'm still annoyed that Mojang/Microsoft took such a long time.  I sincerely hope that everyone else with this issue also has had this issue resolved, please let us know.

I have replicated this issue on multiple PS4's, including a brand new one.  I have tested it on other PS4's with different accounts.  I have described the issue accurately on this and other tickets.  I think I have done more troubleshooting on this issue than any game I've troubleshot in 40 years of being a gamer!  This is what I do for a living, I know how to isolate and fix bugs on games, so please do not patronize me or other people on this thread.  I have never known an error so easily replicated, we are begging you to find the resources to fix it.

Yes, the same thing happens when you uninstall and reinstall.  It teases you with one or two of your packs, and there it goes again same error!  You would think that continually uninstalling and reinstalling would allow you to eventually download all the packs you need, but unfortunately not, as while you do this, some of your packs disappear as if you never downloaded them in the first place, so it's a whack-a-mole waste of time, data, and energy.

Yes, still the same issues after the update today.

Yes, I think we've all reached the undeniable conclusion that this is a very serious bug that Mojang needs to address.  I managed to get a hold of a brand new PS4 slim, set it up and installed Minecraft only.  Needles to say, the same issue.  So that's a third PS4, along with my PS5.  Sometimes game developers have difficulty identifying an issue that some have and some don't. It doesn't appear that this applies here, it's not difficult to replicate. I sincerely hope that they are trying to fix this issue instead of kicking the can down the road.

I am also unable to change my realms server needless to say, also claiming I don't have space.  And to cap it all, my worlds now keep crashing Minecraft, with a  CE-38700-8 error.  This nonsense is giving me a nervous breakdown, I think I need to just leave it and play something else until Mojang gets their act together.

One of the things that makes me very reluctant to uninstall and reinstall, even if it allows me to perhaps download another template (usually only one before the error comes back), is that stuff that I'd already installed, has disappeared.  I'm not doing it again.  I've done it scores of times.  I have (check) 62 skins/worlds etc... I currently have only 4 downloaded.  Just a week ago when I had that run of luck and thought I'd cracked it, I managed about a dozen downloads.  They have since gone.  If they are stored in the cloud (I agree they shouldn't), why the hell do they disappear - it doesn't make any sense!?!

So the consensus is that Seaside Story is a likely catalyst then?  The timing for when I loaded it, this makes sense.  The fictional, 'not enough space' message has been a problem for some time, but it was intermittent, and although annoying, a bit of tinkering would make the download work sometimes, but now, it's a 100% failure rate. I'd be interested to see if anyone who did not get Seaside Story has this issue.

Things are now worse.  At one time any new purchases were fine, it was just trying to download existing purchased items that were the problem.  After uninstalling/reinstalling sometimes I was allowed one or two.  But now it just flat out doesn't work, for new and existing add-ons, no matter what troubleshooting I do.  I even get the disk full on a completely clean, new install with no worlds.  I've just given up now, I've wasted so many days of uninstalling/reinstalling/deleting all my worlds, and cache but nothing seems to fix this my end.  All on multiple PS4s and one PS5 - I'm just going to throw in the towel and wait for a fix as there's nothing I can do until Mojang takes the issue seriously.

So far, it doesn't appear to have fixed it for me, unfortunately, but great if it's working for you!

Hi @Magdalena - I'll try to dial down the grumbling and keep to workarounds and attempting to pinpoint the source of the issue, many thanks!

Yes, it was working no matter what the size.  However, I'm thinking the size isn't really relevant, the error gets thrown out due to a bug, I don't think it even checks how much space you have, else it would surely get it right.

Anyway, I was astounded.  It's been such a nightmare for such a long time I nearly cried with relief!  I will see if I can download the remainder today, or at least a few.  By the way, I'm using a PS5, I will try it on my PS4 later, but since there isn't a Minecraft for PS5, I figured the behaviour would be the same.

Up to now, I’ve been trying to download from “My Content” in the store and having very little luck.  I mentioned earlier that I was able to download and install new content with no issues.  This set me to thinking that there may be a problem with “My Content”, and I think I’ve been proven right – instead of downloading from there, I made a note of all my skins and worlds etc... that were not downloaded and installed and then I searched for them in the store, like I was going to buy them.  Lo and behold I managed to download about a dozen of them with no problems.  It did freeze up eventually, but I’ll have another go today.

So, those who are working on this issue – “My Content” maybe somewhere you need to look to decipher why this is a problem.

It's driving me nuts.  Can't download my purchases, freezes up, says check my internet connection, says the disk is full when it most certainly is not.  Been through hours of troubleshooting to no avail.

It used to be intermittent, but since 2.29 it seems permanent - it's driving me crazy.  If I buy something new, it works and downloads fine, however, downloading anything from the past seems to be impossible, either it freezes up completely or I get the not enough space prompt despite having about 3TB free!
