I was getting this on my server after upgrading from 1.8 to 1.9 and then to 1.10. Thinking there was corruption, we restarted a brand new world in 1.11 and are still seeing this entity log message spam. How is this not fixed after so long? I've seen numerous bug reports opened, and most, if not all, are showing "Resolved" but they clearly aren't.

Case sensitive worked. There really should be something to reject a non-matching gamerule.

Typo, have corrected the description. It was doFireTick.

Just tried a couple more runs. I started at level 15, and had 168 or so entities and ended up at level 29.7. I then killed 16 more by hand and am now at level 31.

Was at level 28 and had 150 entities and ended up at level 34. Killed 15 or so more and ended up at level 35.

Am not sure if this is the same problem, but I've noticed that any medium number of mobs in front of you causes FPS drop. In 1.7 I could use my skeleton farm and have 150 mobs in front of me and still get 25+ fps. Now, in the 1.8 snapshots (any of them), I find that once I get 30 or 40+, my FPS drops to low teens.

And that is just standing still in front of a mob farm. Getting up to 150 mobs my FPS drops into single digits. I have 3Gig allocated and am only using a fraction of it. If this is a different bug, I can open a ticket on it.

I have 3G allocated and am still experiencing this. I have also tried all render distances from 11-32 and none work for me. Lowering it to 10 seems to clear it up.

I have upgraded my video drivers to the latest (catalyst 14.4) and am running the latest Java 7 and still have the issue (though FPS is slightly better, but still not what it was in 1.7.9).

Been discussing this with folks on our server and this appears (for us at the moment) to be limited to people using AMD/ATI graphics cards. I myself have a Radeon 7850 and am having this. Two others have reported the same issue. When changing render distance to 10 it goes away. Have not tried a progressive scale down, but 16 distance has the problem. I have heard someone testing with render distance 32 and it not being an issue.

We also ugraded to 14w31a and it is still an issue in that snapshot as well.
