I would recommend editing the bug report and adding info about the seed and other stuff
This still happens in 1.20.12
did this happen on an server or realm? or an active multiplayer world?
there are a whole lot of stuff that cause a crash like that , did you do something in particular for that crash to happen?
can you post a video of the bug?
I dont get hte point , it doesnt look like a bug to me

It's fixed for me , before the update it was missing but now I have it back

I think you are using normal maps in the second on thats why you are unable to get the pointer combine the map with a compass which will give you an empty locator map which shows the pointer
