@DawnTreader This bug is pretty old, it was there in 1.14, when you move the maps around in your inventory the id’s are back, but when you relog it’s gone.

To ZYX_2D

Would you be fine with me taking ownership of this bugreport? Been co-testing it along with my bug report list for a long while. Unless you’ve active at it as well ofcourse.

Greetings,

Mr. Quasi

Edit, the sometimes in the title is not correct. It’s -every- relog. When you click/drag them they luckily get their id’s back.

Obviously still not addressed in 26.3 snapshot 10, you’d think now maps are under the loop this annoying bug would be fixed…

26.2 first picture current, 2nd a building from 2019 in the same world where fire could still be placed on hoppers.

Edit: Not fixed in 26.2

This report was related to a survival feature of using flint and steel on the hopper leaving a permanent fire. Not with the help of commands.

And snapshot 8 as well, you’d think they could address this issue, but that’s not how bugsystems works. Imagine you have some efficiency per subject.

It needs atleast 10-15 years collecting dust. 🤣

It’s sad, but I advice to add a pressure plate on the inside of a building. Since the majority of bugs end on a stack that’s older than 10 years, better find alternatives. 💩

It’s clear the chef doesn’t taste it’s own food if I translate that to Minecraft and this very very very obvious bug..

Terrain blending is awesome, sad something like this keeps an issue. Can confirm in 26.1.2

2026… Are bugs older than a year even get fixed these days… Updated report to 26.1.2 meanwhile villagers aren’t save anymore by something little like not closing the doors anymore. How can a basic element, yet not game breaking, been ignored so long as an important part of the games mechanic and lore. Hope future ‘updates’ to villagers aren creating more of these issues.

Or are we only playing with tiny mobs and spears? 😛

Think this is also related to minecarts, atleast since 1.21.10

I can confirm, although I’m a Java player it is really annoying to have this issue with multiplayer events on Bedrock. I tried everything, also contacted supports but nothing helped.

And as others state, single player skins work just fine.

Can confirm in 1.21.4, but strangely enough this doesn't apply to dark oak forests, they regen normally (maybe to do with new pale garden terrain generation?)

Well guess this week isn't the right time to start closing doors again, it will be cold when winter comes... 😛

Sorry I thought you went inactive, my mistake.

And about the bug, I know, it's far from fixed. It's even annoying if you like to use the more old fashioned way of playing the game.

Villages are now doomed to be taken over by zombies since it's almost standard that villagers don't close the doors behind them. An obvious bug for the people who play the game but not for those who make big chances behind the scenes. Hope it doesn't stay a bug for 5-10 years.

I'd like to become the reporter if the original reporter isn't active anymore. Let me know.

Exactly what 4ebugger said and nitwits are part of Minecraft's history and earned their place till a bug fired them from the game. Yes they are that little bit of difficulty/annoyance in breeding villagers, so be it.

In terms of declining effort we're not far from the point that a butler will just spawn next players and goes mining for giving them items for nothing. But that's another dicussion... 😉

I like to request ownership since activity seems to be low.
