But java spits out a shiny warning about not being able to play a soundEvent
Can't the warning be handled if it is detected?
Servers have resource packs, and as you said even single-player is just a local server
on top of that, /playsound already has a list of what sounds are available for when you press tab. why can't you use that list if all else fails?
I've got a map that has no pointer or dot when I'm in my home chunk. If I take it out of my home chunk the dot appears and the arrow appears when I get to the area where it was made. When I return to my home chunk the dot disappears again. The only unusual thing about the map is that it's entirely water (although you can see a few underwater features). I made it from a stack of empty maps and all of the other ones seem normal. I've tried having it in my hot bar or not having it in my hot bar as I travelled to see if that affected anything (it doesn't seem too) It's 1:1 zoom, just like the others. Putting in and taking it out of an item frame doesn't seem to do anything, nor does logging out and in.
1.18.1 Single player.
[media]Eh... I mean, there are things you can buy from one person and sell to another in real life. Having a couple trades where you can turn a slight trade by having the right villagers doesn't seem that bad, especially when you consider that the zombification exploit can do much, much worse. Right now I have a cartographer who will give me an emerald for 10 panes of glass, and a Librarian who will give me 4 glass for 1 emerald. If I exclusively trade with them I can create a loop, but it's a very mild loop... 3 emeralds gives me 12 glass, which I can turn into 48 panes, which I can sell for 4 emeralds and change, but my cartographer is selling me at ten instead of 11 because he likes me... how about if there were more of these, but with tighter margins? It would make it so you could trade and make a profit in emeralds but only at pretty low margins... you could set a goal for the best non-zombified margins being something like a 5-10% profit per trader in the loop... it might encourage people to have more of the unusual villagers around.
Of course, the zombification exploit is so OP... you could theoretically take two emeralds, buy 8 glass, turn that into 16 panes (and still have 2 glass for later) and if you'd zombified the cartographer enough you could sell at 1 per pane and make an 8 to 1 return, or set up a zombie farm and zombify a priest and get one emerald per rotten flesh.
Ah the zombie picking it up might make sense. I had no collection system for it and when I got back there were 4 zombies there. I assume it despawned. But don’t worry about it I luckily had the materials to replace the helmet
thanks for the feedback

We haven't updated to 1.14.4 yet. Still on 1.14.2 trying to make sets of super protection armor. Just logged on to 13 separate fire starting lightning strikes.
Figured it out. Need to click on them with the chest, not put it in in the GUI.
This is normal for Minecraft, so do not worry 🙂
Can confirm in 1.20.4 - Any fixes? it seems that when it breaks, it breaks across different instances of minecraft.
