For me, the issue is occurring on the server side, so it doesn’t have to do with the graphics driver for my device. It’s possible there are multiple issues encompassed in this discussion though.

Update: it is now impossible to connect to the server at all.

I am having a similar issue on a server; initially tps is fine, but after a while (often seemingly triggered by a moderately large number of item entities being created) it starts lagging horrendously. mspt oscillates between <50 and around 1000. This only started after updating to 1.21.5. The only way I can find to fix it is to restart the server.

Yeah this has been problematic since the release of 1.16. If you're playing on a server, realm, XBL world, or any location where there is a ping delay, it takes an annoying amount of time for your inventory to actually open after prompting the action. This will often result in undeserved deaths in certain high-stake situations ingame which honestly makes this version of Minecraft borderline unplayable. Please look into this

This is really highlighted after trying the Java Edition of the game for contrast. Bucket placements and pickups are so smooth, while in BE, they replace themselves more often than not.

For a myriad of reasons, I've been playing Bedrock Edition almost exclusively on 1.14.1. This is one of said reasons. 1.14 runs effortlessly on my relatively low end laptop, but as soon as I open any version of 1.16, especially 1.16.2, CPU usage spikes into the high 90s and my fan sounds like a helicopter. This is one of the things pushing me personally away from this version of the game. Would love to see this worked on.

Yeah this is a pretty prominent issue on Bedrock. These type of problems don't even exist on Java
