Description: The 1.16 update has made it so that when clicking "e" to open the inventory (or any other button on different devices), the client needs affirmation from the server before the inventory can be opened. On higher-ping servers and multiplayer games, this causes a noticeable, even sometimes substantial latency. It is incredibly annoying to want to open your inventory to quickly move items, due to this issue, that is no longer possible to do swiftly because of the delay. PVP has been made very difficult and infuriating because of this unintended consequence of porting inventory to the server side.
If you try to open your inventory too many times in a certain interval, the inventory will not open in correspondence with the amount of times you attempted to open your inventory. Sometimes, the inventory will open and instantly close, or even crash the game.

Expected behavior: When attempting to open the inventory, it opens instantly and has no delay, and does not crash the game in rare instances.
Actual Behavior: Opening the inventory in multiplayer games and servers causes an annoying delay, sometimes the inventory does not open, or sometimes crashes your game entirely.

Yeah this has been problematic since the release of 1.16. If you're playing on a server, realm, XBL world, or any location where there is a ping delay, it takes an annoying amount of time for your inventory to actually open after prompting the action. This will often result in undeserved deaths in certain high-stake situations ingame which honestly makes this version of Minecraft borderline unplayable. Please look into this

This doesnt seem horrible if youre a casual player, but it definitely does need to be fixed because its quite noticeable if youre playing pvp situations, especially where you would need to do inventory management often such as skywars and uhc. Since there is an ungodly amount of DAS in chests and inventories on console platforms with no way to toggle/adjust it having an extra delay on top of that is often crippling.

For players with high ping(and in general) this is a problem it can delay the time that it takes to open the inventory. It also affects players that have to grab things quickly in combat.

Raffi mentions that it isnt terrible as a casual player, and I would agree that it is not gamebreaking, but it does feel awful. Just this issue alone makes it hard to play Bedrock when I wish to play with others who do not have a Java MC account

Strange, but I noticed this on single player, the interesting thing is that it is the first time you open an inventory, after opened it takes less time :/

Unsure if this is relevant to this ticket but in 1.19.41 on singleplayer I notice severe lag and even crashes which result in the loss of moved items. The item moved from chest to player for example, a crash would occur after a moment or especially while attempting opening another chest. The crash will result in the loss of the transfered item completely from the game. I'm on an android tablet.
