I GOT IT
I don't know what world is causing the issue.
now the deep dark experimental snapshot causes the same issue
Thank you! That worked. Now I wonder if all I have to do is find that same folder in Windows and doing the same thing.
Edit:
Now I get a (non-fatal) warning: "Oh no! Something went wrong, and you will not be logged in automatically next session. View our troubleshooting guide here." The link takes me to the "Secure Token Storage Failure on Linux". I don't have time to right now but I'll try that troubleshooting guide at some point.
I can't login because "Something went wrong with the login process."
This issue exists for my java launcher on BOTH Windows and Ubuntu. I haven't been able to play Minecraft for weeks.
Ah okay sorry I'll report this to paper
Done.
it doesn't anymore...
Ok
Thank you tryashtar. I did. I did not know crowdin existed prior to this. I have reported the error.
my username is Alsym by the way
And that screen shot is our base and he cant walk in it because that chunk only on his end is gone
Sometimes when my friend joins my world his minecraft glitches and some of the chunks dissapear and he has to make a platform when i can walk on it because i dont glitch out only he does
You know, you have a point. My bad.
Well it's not like a guy was sitting there clicking the correct buttons to spell out the words "target yourself" by accident, it's not like the cat stepped on the keyboard. It's not a bug, not a glitch that it says those specific words rather than the words you'd prefer was written. Obviously. What you've wrote here is a REQUEST to change something that really doesn't matter at all.
And if you're gonna ask me what my "source that it is intended is" whatever that is supposed to mean, I might as well ask you; what is YOUR source that it is NOT intended?
Can a mod please update the confirmation status?
It'd also be nice if the affected versions was updated.
Oh. My bad, then. But I'm still pretty sure the fact that stuff like torches and rails can be placed on barriers is intended, with snow layers being one of the few exceptions.
Torches and other things CAN be placed on barriers. If you are unable to place stuff like buttons and torches and snow layers on barriers then that is the bug. Not the other way around.
I moved it out of the saves folder and I could play, I might move it back though I don't use that world anymore. I also was hesitant to report it, I'm glad I did.
