This is actually a feature. If you had checked that this “bug” existed in Java Edition. You'd realize that this is actually a feature of the mace. Java mace combat is comprised of using the elytra as a means of combat paired with the mace. In the latest training Dream video, he's training how to use the mace with the developer of the mace Ulraf. Ulraf, who is the creator of the mace, the person who designed it stated that using the mace paired with the elytra is a feature. This bug should be flagged as “working as intended”. It was mentioned when the camera perspective button was added that it's supposed to be customizable. This is clearly a bug

I also agree that the new UI is bad, laggy, slow and does Represent Minecraft at all.. But this isn't the place to report.
Here is a video showing this bug report. Things to consider, 1- even though I'm using wind_burst 3, I only get launched around 7-8 blocks in the air. 2- The wind burst stops midway and you fall down taking damage.
