I don't want to start a new error report, I keep getting in trouble for only reading 50 items that appear after a search for what I think should show me any matches to my issue.

Anyway I am playing on an unmoddified single player, and I get the game going into game menu if the game has been left idle for a short time. not every 32 seconds it just happens. So I can't leave the game to process ore or cook chickens while I get a coffee, when I return the game is in game menu. snapshot 13w48b

Have you tried to create a new profile, remembering to select the game directory option and make a new directory, and then select the last version that worked without this issue. Copy the game to the saves folder in the new directory and make sure you don"t enable snapshots. May not fix the problem but should allow you to continue to play until a fix is made (if one is).
Don't know if there is any connection to your problem but I noticed in the description you spoke of the "text sticks around until you change between creative and survivor" I had an odd experience with the last snapshot, I was in creative when I quit, then I updated to the snapshot and when I logged back in I teleported and fell to my death - can't figure out how I could teleport if I was not also unable to die.
Hope this helps

Just looked through for a crash report - assuming they are still saved in the same location since the new launcher as I found no new location ie .minecraft/crash-reports - my last was created on 3rd April.

I did find one oddity, in the versions folder 13w18a did not contain a natives folder just jar & json.

I have just used 13w18b for a minute and looked in its version folder and the native folder is there.

This still happens in the 13w16a - not only on chunk loading, mobs glitch into blocks where they die (suffocation presumably) This is most common with baby mobs when they grow.

This is not really a duplicate, it actually better explains the problem(13885 states it "sometimes act" as though water does not exist" - the horse does act as though the water exists and floats except for)when you ride into water your are kicked off the horse, you then need to lead the horse through the water and while you are doing so it wants to still feed and will sink about 8 blocks (in creative mode) and then rise, if he goes too deep the rope/leash removes itself. I expect this would make transporting from one land mass to another impossible in survival

Confirmed - if this is intended it really sucks, in the real world chickens can reproduce without human intervention so WHY should the Minecraft masters want to ruin chicken farms

This is really weird and not exactly what I expected from the above description.

It may work on the ground but I put up a L shaped platform at first then reduced it to 2 blocks.

Click about 10 villagers (using egg) onto the same block until they are standing on a dark circle.

Step back and wait, they will "explode" in all sideways directions, if there is only 1 block they have nowhere to go, it seems the second block allows 1 villager to move with the chain reaction result.

Just tested, got slime - check you are not in "Peaceful"

I can confirm this - Image 1 is TNT cart beside an activator rail. Image 2 is the 2nd TNT cart about to detonate. Image 3 the result

I have recreated this bug. THIS IS MORE LIKELY A COMPARATOR ISSUE. Method - place dirt block, click hopper on one side of dirt, remove dirt and click a hopper against the 1st hopper (output to output). From on top of hoppers place a comparator on the ground on each of 6 edges. Place 1 item in a hopper. It will oscillate continuously until you log out (or move far enough away for chunk to unload). When you re-enter it has stopped and it seems to be impossible to restart without dismantlement and recreation.

This would be a compact "motor" for droppers and dispensers if this can be fixed.

The first screen shot is using arrows - they are not affected
The second shows carts in the air (jumping), as the submitter describes.
The third is steps removed - no jumping - steps make the carts jump.
This final one shows removed steps and added pressure plates

This is NOT a dispenser bug, I don't see it as a bug at all, the cause is the steps making the minecarts jump not the dispenser (drop carts on steps using Q-key and the carts jump), sometimes they jump over the glass (try making glass higher if you want them to jump but not over the glass). Replace the steps with dirt the carts don't jump. If the result your after is activating the pressure plates remove the steps and place your pressure plates there. If your trying to make them jump up and down on the pressure plates, they wont.

These 3 screenshots (those dated 31st) are of 13w04a on Win7 latest java gamemode 0

I have tried to duplicate the described error without success. I tried N/S and E/W in case orientation was a factor and then enclosed the area to see if that had any effect see my results

This seems to be similar to an issue I am having, I will try a diagram

OK basically a cart coming from A should trip the corner r from C to B then reset and it does, but when the cart returns from B the corner flips again sending the cart to A - There is no detector rail on the B line. I have just made the B C into a loop and what is happening is the cart coming to the corner from C trips the corner towards B but for some reason the cart takes the corner to A anyway. Bug seems to be - if one line has a detector rail ALL lines to the T junction behave like they have one. If you add a rail above the r the detector rail stops working.
