I have set up a test world, for the 1.21.2-pre3 snapshot. Once I got to the zombie spawner the game crashed with error code 6 after I killed all the zombies around the spawner. Then it crashed once again with error code 6. I figured it wasn't worth investigating another unknown error and went back to the original world that had the bed error before. I haven't found an invisible bed anywhere else. I recognized that the bug was fixed with the 1.21.2-pre4 image and what I found before (6 invisible beds with sitting cats) was just a late visual manifestation of it. With that, I conclude that the reported bug is most likely not a bug, and I apologize for bothering you with solving it.
All the invisible beds have one in common: all of them have been occupied by cats for some time. They have been there even before snapshot 1.21.2-pre3. There are 11 beds with all variants of cats and there are 3 floors of beds in this cat fortress.
Sorry, but I have no backups from snapshot 1.21.2-pre3 or 1.21.2-pre4. At the time when this two snapshots were published, I were in another part of the world. Yes, I have also been nearby of this fortress, but no closer about one hundred blocks south direction. At the time I visited the fortress again (monday 28th evening), six beds (2 at every floor at the north side) were invisible. This never happened before.
I can confirm that. The same thing happened to me when filling the bucket.
It occured in Snapshot 23w32a. I was creating a path using cobblestone slabs at the upper half of block. I wanted to make it so that the road is not covered with snow when it snows. So I needed torches as a heat source to place them near.
[media]This is the same world loaded in 21w44a, same place, but biome generated is different. Also, do you see any sign of blending betwen chunks? At the same time, blending was introduced in 21w43a, or no?
[media][media]Sorry, this belongs to Java Edition
When snapshot 21w42a was out, I believed last world generation tweaks will show if new chunks are loaded, and those chunks were loaded today. So there is no possibility they were loaded using any previous snapshot method since new snapshots should be compatible with previous. If I played world older than 1.17 then this is completely logical, but why in newest snapshot should any biome generate this way?
That is correct. I can also confirm the part about chests being invisible and things disappearing from them. I had chests by two beds. I don't remember exactly the things that disappeared from them, but there were completely normal rocks, nothing magical. Even the signs on the wall near them were invisible.
