Any update?  Or are we still stuck on 1.18 ?

>> Is this still an issue in the latest version? If yes, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter)?

This issue isn't resolved as of 1.19.30.25

This is a game-breaking bug for VR players and can confirm that it exists from at least 1.18.10 onwards but didn't exist in 1.18.2

To add additional information to try to explain it.. as soon as you enter a world and walk forwards everything works as expected. YOu can look around in VR with head look and the hud (when set to drift) correctly follows where you look.  The issue comes with the first left or right snap turn at which point the HUD moves left or right about 20 degrees and stays there. At that point, if you then attempt to move directly forward instead your player crabs left/forward or right/forward.  At this point, it's impossible to walk or sprint forwards or backward directly without crabbing.

>> Any chance of even acknowledging this Mojang / Microsoft?

I guess not.. just like all the other VR-related issues and tickets.

Another few months with not even a hint of an acknowledgment of the existence of this ticket.

More weeks and months pass by and this isn't even acknowledged.  It could have been fixed for all we know... but nobody at Mojang even bothers to look at this ticket.

Mojang / Microsoft have pretty much abandoned the VR community, unfortunately.  All you can really do is go back to 1.16.100 using a tool such as https://github.com/MCMrARM/mc-w10-version-launcher  - It's open-source, but of course, do your own research on it and virus check it, etc.

You won't be able to access realms of your current worlds unfortunately, but you will (for now) still be able to access featured servers.

Any chance of even acknowledging this Mojang / Microsoft?

Still not even a reply or acknowledgment?

We need to keep the pressure on for Mojang to get VR back to being usable.  As time goes by rolling back to the 1.16.100 release (which I've pointed out above can be done on PC but not in an official or supported way so please do your own due diligence if you go down that route) will no longer be an option.. they've already updated Realms and your own worlds will have likely been updated to 1.16.200 and therefore impossible to play on rollback.  All the featured servers at least still seem to be compatible with 1.16.100 which is a relief however many of the non-featured servers are no longer supporting 1.16.100 😞

MOJANG: We're going to be getting to 3 months soon with absolutely no official response other than "we're working on it"..... Can you PLEASE tell us if this will be fixed and can you please tell us if the other VR issues that are introduced with 1.16.200 (all of which make VR unplayable) will ever be addressed.  At least throw us a bone.

Come on mojang... It can't be that hard to at least give an update on when you are likely to fix the abomination that is 1.16.200 for VR?

In the meantime for everyone else (on PC / Windows 10) having an issue trying to play MC in VR I had to rollback to 1.16.100 using this tool..  https://github.com/MCMrARM/mc-w10-version-launcher  - It's open-source, but of course, do your own research on it and virus check it, etc.

No confirmation or update from the devs yet?

No update at all from the devs yet

b.b.... I know right!  The only way I got usable / working VR was to roll back to 1.16.100 but I fear the main servers I love will soon require all users to be on 1.16.200 which will render online play Impossible.  It's been a month almost, I would hope they'd have at least looked at the issue and acknowledged it.

This bug is cross platform, eg Windows 10 PC Oculus Rift S not just PSVR.  And along with a slew of other bugs introduced with this update which I've posted (but which haven't been responded to) it makes VR entirely unplayable.  I had to drop back to version 1.16.100 in order to just be able to play (though that means you can't play on any of your own worlds).

This bug makes VR unplayable on Windows 10 Oculus Rift S also.  I've had to revert to 1.16.100.

I guess you didn't listen. v1.16.200 totally and utterly breaks VR.

  • No Head steering (changing it in settings doesn't work).

  • Turning is Smooth only and not in comfort increments (this alone breaks the game for many VR users)

  • No reticle for head look selection for inventory/menus etc. This alone very much breaks the game for VR / Controller players.

  • There is a weird bobbing up and down movement when moving (which wasn't there before).

  • Game UI is at a weird aspect ratio, which flickers and Hotbar is semi-transparent and hard to see.

  • Keyboard and Controller settings are broken (see attachments)

I guess you don't have any VR players on your test team..... you really need them... This update is SOOOOO bad for VR players... it's the worst by far I've ever experienced

Please fix Minecraft for VR players.
