We’ve been working really hard on the new Resource Pack system, and we think it’s at the point where we can finally push it live. This is a huge step forward for the future plugin API and will replace texture packs. Unfortunately, texture packs will no longer be supported but you can use this fancy tool to automatically convert them! Please report all issues about resource packs, and the snapshot in general, to our bug tracker!

Try this
*create a new folder on desktop - place the minecraftdev.exe in that folder
*create a .txt file and name it MCdevLaunch
*open the dot txt and type this in:
set appdata=%CD%
minecraftDev.exe
*Save as MCdevLaunch.bat
*Launch MCdevLaunch.bat for the first time then close it.
*Copy your Lastlogin into the .minecraft folder that was just created
*Launch MCdevLaunch.bat and hit play
I dont think that I had used the /gamerule thing first time. iether way thanks... I feel like an idiot now.
