•Increase allocated RAM from 1GB to 3GB (only applicable to 64 bit users) ◦In the Edit Profile menu in the Launcher, check the JVM Arguments box, and change the -Xmx1G argument to -Xmx3G

•Change Video Settings in-game (Options -> Video Settings) ◦Enable VSync
◦Disable VBOs

The reason is that you're using a Resource pack. The Resource packs does not contain the textures for the difficulty lock icon. It's not only in 14w06a, I've seen it in the other 1.8 snapshots as well...

I can kind of see how this is a duplicate, but when searching for this specific problem I could not find an open or unresolved ticket. Thus creating a duplicate if you keep one open (unresolved), perhaps less duplicates will form, just an idea.

I've also watched the video from MC-11193. In my opinion this is not a duplicate.
Could you ([Mod] Tails) please explain why this would be a duplicate???
