At times I would have Skype and my internet open, but other times I could just have MC open and it would still do it.

Pokechu22 do you mean mod or texture pack/resource pack when you say background program? I don't use those anyways. And Kumasasa so I press F3+C for 10 seconds then type in my pause problem in the report on the launcher?

The same thing happens to me all the time. I'm pretty sure it's a bug because it's only been happening the past 2 months and I've had Minecraft for awhile. It is a bug, right?
