This "glitch" has been around for a while, but it might be intended because the only way to acquire farmland in your inventory is by commands or inventory editing.
Are you sure it's not intended? I think loud jumping sounds could get very annoying very quickly.
What are your system specs?
Upgraded from 14w28b (which had a framerate bug, supposedly) and my frame rate slightly decreased in 14w29b! I thought that issue was fixed.
Yes, you've made it clear that it doesn't affect new worlds; however, old worlds are still apparently very much affected by this bug.
Yep, happens for me, server jar on Ubuntu 13.10. Chunks stop loading, the error comes up in the server and players get kicked with the message io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException.
Occurs for me on my Ubuntu server, java version 7u55 x64, 14w27b
The same thing happened to me, that's rough. I'm about to restore my backup now.
It's unfixed in 14w20a.
Can confirm in 14w11b, accompanied by a sizable FPS drop compared to 1.7.5.
Minecraft servers do NOT need that much RAM, I'd try allotting a maximum of 2-4GB for it.
