Still affects all the snapshots in 1.18 and there are no signs they will be adding this in the release of 1.18. This is disappointing as this will be very useful in the new update.

Any proofs? Have you tried using "/fill ~ ~ ~ ~20 ~20 ~30 air 0 replace stone" and check if there is really none?
