Realistically, the spiders probably shouldn't be immune to poisons either... What's the first thing 90% of people reach for when they find a big, black, hairy spider in their loungeroom? A can of - you guessed it - poison. Additionally, the idea of spiders being immune to their venom is probably wrong. Spiders are certainly capable of killing other spiders, even in the same species.
As for the puffer fish - yep... They're actually immune to their own toxin. That's actually how they have it. It's not created in the fish itself, but by bacteria. But as far as spider venom or other poisons - they're going to die like any other animal.
Not invalid - you can get below 0 in any void-based world by water ladder. I believe water is allowed in The End, which is a void world.
And of course, the ever-popular Skyblock style worlds basically require this water ladder technique, which could easily lead to players attempting to build below 0.
The archive.org Wayback Machine appears to have some versions of the server available. For example, 1.1 is here: https://web.archive.org/web/20111031023051/http://www.minecraft.net/download
If you get the release date for the version you want from the wiki (https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Version_history) and then view the download page for just after that date on archive.org, you should be able to find most versions.
