Ditto. Having this issue as well. Have tried several times and no achievement. This is the last achievement I need for 100%. -xltel

Hi Mega,
Thanks for all you do and your relentless help in stomping out bugs. Let me start by saying I am no longer as seriously interested in this issue as I was from the start. I now pay for five realms that keep perfectly synced between the two Xbox's and all devices for that matter (iPhone, iPad, Fire TV, etc) So, that alone says "this" issue can be fixed on worlds.

My two Xbox's on the same wired network located about 40 feet apart and connected to the Internet with Gigabit service from my ISP Cox. For connections that support Gigabit on both ends I go get very close to a Gigabit transfer.

Please refer to the files uploaded "XL_Xbox_One_X" and "XL_Xbox_One_S". I just took a shot of the first few worlds just a few minutes apart, and this tells the entire story. NO, sync is not working as it should. First note the world count 21 vs 34. Next notice the world list is different. Also the thumbnails do not match. And where the items do match to some extent, the file sizes are different. Nope this is not in sync.

Now the good news is, for the most part I believe by updating a world or launching a world on both Xboxes, gives you the same world on both boxes. But again, I don't really test that a lot, because I use Realms most of the time now.

I understand someone may be on WiFi with a 25Mb Internet service and it would talk a long time to download the world. We really can't fix that. But that said, it would not take much time or bandwidth to sync the list, names, file size and the very small thumbnail. Longer for a huge list of worlds, but that is user management. Also, their is no reason why we can't have all of our worlds synced across all platforms. That would be truly "Better Together". But would that make Realms less attractive? Maybe, but other things make them attractive and more useful then worlds. And I am sure additional features will be added to Realms in the future (please add logging - grin).

I hope this helps and please keep up all the good work. Bedrock is getting a lot better, but still has a way to go to have the features we loved on Xbox Console Edition. I still believe we should have the ability to turn off "auto save" and do the saves the way we want. And the game just does not play as smooth as Xbox Console Edition. To be honest, I have and always will have priority on getting Bedrock play as good as it was on Console, and until that happen I don't care so much about new features. Guess that is just a 70 year old Minecraft player that doesn't like change.

Thanks,
Xltel

I have three Xbox One systems being used in my home that access my Xbox live account, an X and two S. In addition on two are used with Minecraft, one of the Xbox One S boxes is used for Left for Dead 2 and that box has my primary Xbox Live account.

Now some observations and speculations; It is my belief that all of these issues are related. I have had ongoing issues with Minecraft that change with every bug fix release and feature update. PLEASE DO NOT REPORT ON ITEMS IN 1 THRU 4 IN THIS THIS ISSUE UNLESS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ASKED BY Mega_Spud. AS 1 THRU 4 MAY OR MAY NOT APPLY TO THIS ISSUE.

1) Sync between my Xbox Ones has never worked properly, but has changed getting better of worse with updates.

2) I have had ongoing issues with global texture pack assignment sticking. A while back it was fixed, but then Matt Gartzke notified us that a small bug fix was released, but none of the fixes applied to me. That bug fix broke the global texture pack assignment and it has remained broken.

3) Launch for Minecraft fails (message says taking to long to launch).when starting it quickly after Xbox is booted from a cold start. This one may not be related to Xbox live, but more likely due to processes still starting after boot taking time away from the Minecraft launch.

4) Realm downloads and realm automatic backups have a issue similar to the current issue. User assignments (experience, inventory, ender chest, spawn, etc.) reset to an earlier point while non-user changes are current. This issue or variations of it have been going on for some time.Including the current related issue. I did realize recently that the restore to the realm of realm automatic backups worked properly, while the download to a non-realm world was still corrupted.

Because of stealing and griefing I have been launching Minecraft on my laptop while playing Minecraft on Xbox so I could watch for access to my realms in attempts to catch the culprit. We need to have logging for realms to manage the griefing and stealing. We were able to use the Xbox app and club access for a while to check who had been on the realm that day and make some determinations, but not that doesn't work.

It starts to become obvious that interaction with user data between Xbox systems and other platforms has issues that are ongoing and related some way to Xbox Live. This is compounded for realms because they are not included in the beta testing and assures there will be continuing issues with ongoing releases going forward. As time goes on I have seen more of my friends being impacted by realm issue and added a few friends with the latest issue. This type of testing needs to given priority for future releases.

I originally purchased two realms so i could use the world on two xboxes in my house due to the sync issues. Also I was able to download a world to save position. The download was helpful because we were unable to get autosaves turned off so we could manage saves. I was willing to pay for this the advantage and realms helped with these issues. I started to meet more Minecrafter's and realms were the way to so I could play with these friends. Currently all five of my 10 user realms are closed because of the latest issue. Unless something changes the future does not look good either. Some serious changes need to be made I know Mega_Spud is a valuable advocate. Also, please help him with things you know for sure about this issue.

Microsoft/Mojang if you would like to confirm this bug I would be happy to stream and show you the issue. Thanks, xltel

I have this issue as well and it may have started with Aquatic update, an update to City Texture Pack or just after the fix where we were unable to connect to our Realms. I have 5 realms and they all have the same issue. It occurs with both downloads and download of backups. Upon launching the location is different then when I saved but always that different location every time it is downloaded. If I upload one of the downloads that starting location changes to the location of save once removed from the last save before the upload. Also when downloaded the inventory I had is wiped and I am given a starter map and zero experience or the inventory is the once removed removed save and experience.

A separate issue but may be related; I believe the City Texture Pack was updated. Now when I join a realm with the City Texture Pack globally assigned, I frequently get the notice do I want to download and use the realm texture pack. If I take the no option everything is fine, but if I download the update and I then go to settings while in the game, the game locks up and after a period of time crashes. I will open a seperate ticket on this issue, but though I would mention it here and they may be related.

These issues occur on two seperate Xbox One systems, One an "S" and the other a "X".

I have closed my Realms so that people that join the Realms are not impacted by the issue. I consider this a critical issue.

Sync of worlds between consoles is broken... AGAIN! (Version 1.2.5)

I have confirmed there are still issues with sync between two Xboxs. (Realm save is not going to be covered here)

It works sometimes, but not all the time. (same as original issue reported).
1) I had 7 worlds and 2 realms on my Xbox One S.
2) I downloaded an additional copy of my Realm and it appeared in my list making a total on 8 worlds.
3) I opened each of the 8 worlds and placed a Cobblestone block with a torch on top and one on the front facing me.
4) Waited for the autosave to show in the upper right corner and then did a "Save & Quit" on each of the 8 worlds and confirmed each thumbnail showed the cobblestone and torches.
5) I then exited the game, when to Home and selected the Minecraft Icon and "Quit" Minecraft.
--------
6) I went to my Xbox One in a different room logged into Xbox Line and launched Minecraft. I had only 7 world showing plus the 2 Realms. The thumbnails and dates had not been updated. I determined the second copy of the downloaded Realm was missing from the list.
7) I launched each of the 7 worlds to check for the cobblestone block and torches. Only 2 of the 7 had been updated. After "Save & Quit" the thumbnails and dates were updated correctly.
--------
8) I returned to my Xbox One S and to shorten this, after launching the 8 worlds, 3 of the worlds were missing the cobblestone with the torches. This indicates a loss of data.

After 35 years working in IT it highly technical positions, I consider loss of data a critical issue that needs to be given the highest priority over the minor bugs that have been fixed in updates since the original beta. And diligence needs to be given with extensive testing to assure the fix is bullet proof.

In addition I would recommend;
1) All updates to the world are performed on launch of Minecraft and/or when selecting "Play"
2) The "World" list have a time stamp in addition to the date on each world.
3) The thumbnails are updated and show the current state of the world and what you would expect to see upon launch.
4} CRC checks along with date time stamps need to checked to assure it is the latest copy of the world. Both during the save and prior to launch, with valid recovery recommendations provided.

I love the additions to Minecraft, I don't like it has been made more difficult to play. I very much don't like that some important console edition features have been eliminated. I believe you have rushed this and it should still be in beta.I will wait and see and give you time to provide the game I love.

the image showing 9 worlds total is from my Xbox One after saving on the Xbox One S and launching each of the world. The one showing 10 worlds total is the Xbox One S in the final step showing the data loss.

Jon, I confirm... seems to be working now.

Mega, I created a new world and it synced both ways. But I am not convinced that the issue is fixed.I have 15 worlds on my "Xbox One S". and only 14 on my "Xbox One". There may me some issues with renaming on worlds and world copies that may play back into this issue. I do not believe the issue is fixed. The question I have do you have anyone there that plays Microsoft enough to see this issue? Does anyone other then the couple of people here have the issue. I purchase an extra copy of Realms so I could play my favorite world on both Xboxes. But the downloads (for backup) from Realms don't stick. The disappear when you quit Minecraft.

/start rant (read all of it, I'm not the only one that feels this way)
Before I got your message, I was almost ready to cry about what has been done with the game I love. I am 69 years old and you are taking the game I love away from me. Making it so much different and harder then console edition plus all the bugs had me wondering if I wanted to go back to the console edition. I like a lot of the changes you are doing with Bedrock, but to be honest it is a different game. I decided I would not go back to console edition and I am trying to figure out if I want to continue playing Bedrock. I preordered a Xbox One X to play the super duper graphics, but the graphics is no good it it's not my game. You need to figure out if you want to make Minecraft a difficult game to play across the board or give us the game back we love with the new features. I don't like shooters. The people making the decisions about this game need to be hardcore players of the game. You need to look at the ratings and comments you are getting on Minecraft. The YouTubers are afraid to talk to loud about it because they know you guys will cut them off. /end rant
