Sync of worlds between consoles does not work most of the time. Frequently it doesn't show up at all in the list of world, When it does show Minecraft frequently will crash on load and then the world will show as a much smaller size. Occasionally it does work, but that is less then 10% of the time. This is version 1.2.0.29, I don't have 1.2.0.31. This issue continues and still appears in 1.2.3
See MCPE-27633 for better description of how to duplicate the issue (shown below).
Summary: I have two Xbox One consoles. After playing a world on one console for a while, when I try to load that world on a different console, it doesn't load at the most recent save point.
What I expected to happen was the game to load with my most recent save point.
What actually happened was the game loaded at a point earlier than when I last selected "save & quit".
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a game on Console A. (Name: "Test Game")
2. Play for a while.
3. Select "Save & Quit", to quit the game, then load it back up. (I do this because there is no way to pause the game)
4. Do step 3 a few different times, making sure to note where you were when you quit. (This will help to determine which save point is being loaded later).
6. Load the game on Console B.
7. Notice the game is at a different save spot then the final save on Console A.
Bonus Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do the same as above, but on Console A, after the save the game for the last time, make a copy of the game. (Name: "Copy of Test Game")
2. On Console B, the Worlds list will have the following:
"Test Game"
"Test Game"
3. If you load the world that is actually "Copy of Test Game", it will load at the correct save point. (I am assuming this is because it only has a single point since it is a copy of a game and has never been loaded).
4. Quit.
5. The name will now correctly show as "Copy of Test Game".
I have two Xbox Consoles, one at home (Xbox One S) and one at work (Xbox One) [both are on the Xbox Insider program Beta Ring]. I will play during lunch on my work console and then play some evenings at home. I have found that when I "save & quit" on one of the consoles and then later load the game from a different console, the game is at a previous state from when I saved. It seems as if it is loading from a save point about 3-4 save points behind where I actually left off. If I load the game on the original console it loads correctly.
I have found that if I am going to play World on a different Xbox console, then I need to create a copy of the world. Otherwise, the different Xbox console will not load the world at the latest save point.

I am having a similar issue with syncing between Xbox consoles.
https://bugs.mojang.com/projects/MCPE/issues/MCPE-27633

Confirmed. Still having this same issue.

Same here. They said they fixed that disconnect of file data, but it seems to be back.
Does this issue still affect the latest version? Please reply if it does.

Mega, I created a new world and it synced both ways. But I am not convinced that the issue is fixed.I have 15 worlds on my "Xbox One S". and only 14 on my "Xbox One". There may me some issues with renaming on worlds and world copies that may play back into this issue. I do not believe the issue is fixed. The question I have do you have anyone there that plays Microsoft enough to see this issue? Does anyone other then the couple of people here have the issue. I purchase an extra copy of Realms so I could play my favorite world on both Xboxes. But the downloads (for backup) from Realms don't stick. The disappear when you quit Minecraft.
/start rant (read all of it, I'm not the only one that feels this way)
Before I got your message, I was almost ready to cry about what has been done with the game I love. I am 69 years old and you are taking the game I love away from me. Making it so much different and harder then console edition plus all the bugs had me wondering if I wanted to go back to the console edition. I like a lot of the changes you are doing with Bedrock, but to be honest it is a different game. I decided I would not go back to console edition and I am trying to figure out if I want to continue playing Bedrock. I preordered a Xbox One X to play the super duper graphics, but the graphics is no good it it's not my game. You need to figure out if you want to make Minecraft a difficult game to play across the board or give us the game back we love with the new features. I don't like shooters. The people making the decisions about this game need to be hardcore players of the game. You need to look at the ratings and comments you are getting on Minecraft. The YouTubers are afraid to talk to loud about it because they know you guys will cut them off. /end rant

Tom - It looks like the realms download issue was fixed in 1.2.3 - https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-26557

Jon, I confirm... seems to be working now.

Jon and Tom, was the fix only for Realms?
What about regular non-realms worlds?
I am still testing but I think I still am having the syncing issues between two consoles. I need to test more as I think the copies upon copies of a single world may be messing with things. I am going to play some during lunch today, save, and delete all the other copies of this world and see if it syncs to my home Xbox this evening.

I have confirmed there are still issues with sync between two Xboxs. (Realm save is not going to be covered here)
It works sometimes, but not all the time. (same as original issue reported).
1) I had 7 worlds and 2 realms on my Xbox One S.
2) I downloaded an additional copy of my Realm and it appeared in my list making a total on 8 worlds.
3) I opened each of the 8 worlds and placed a Cobblestone block with a torch on top and one on the front facing me.
4) Waited for the autosave to show in the upper right corner and then did a "Save & Quit" on each of the 8 worlds and confirmed each thumbnail showed the cobblestone and torches.
5) I then exited the game, when to Home and selected the Minecraft Icon and "Quit" Minecraft.
--------
6) I went to my Xbox One in a different room logged into Xbox Line and launched Minecraft. I had only 7 world showing plus the 2 Realms. The thumbnails and dates had not been updated. I determined the second copy of the downloaded Realm was missing from the list.
7) I launched each of the 7 worlds to check for the cobblestone block and torches. Only 2 of the 7 had been updated. After "Save & Quit" the thumbnails and dates were updated correctly.
--------
8) I returned to my Xbox One S and to shorten this, after launching the 8 worlds, 3 of the worlds were missing the cobblestone with the torches. This indicates a loss of data.
After 35 years working in IT it highly technical positions, I consider loss of data a critical issue that needs to be given the highest priority over the minor bugs that have been fixed in updates since the original beta. And diligence needs to be given with extensive testing to assure the fix is bullet proof.
In addition I would recommend;
1) All updates to the world are performed on launch of Minecraft and/or when selecting "Play"
2) The "World" list have a time stamp in addition to the date on each world.
3) The thumbnails are updated and show the current state of the world and what you would expect to see upon launch.
4} CRC checks along with date time stamps need to checked to assure it is the latest copy of the world. Both during the save and prior to launch, with valid recovery recommendations provided.
I love the additions to Minecraft, I don't like it has been made more difficult to play. I very much don't like that some important console edition features have been eliminated. I believe you have rushed this and it should still be in beta.I will wait and see and give you time to provide the game I love.

the image showing 9 worlds total is from my Xbox One after saving on the Xbox One S and launching each of the world. The one showing 10 worlds total is the Xbox One S in the final step showing the data loss.

Tom, that seems like what I saw yesterday. I am going to continue using the save and copy method for the time being.
Like you said, loss of data issues need to have the highest priority. I definitely have not been as eager to play with the constant fear of progress being lost.

I am experiencing this too. Why? I do not know. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. It is annoying. Especially in conjunction with the unfixed import bugs.

Sync of worlds between consoles is broken... AGAIN! (Version 1.2.5)
This should be fixed (again) in the latest version - is anyone still having issues with this?

Yes, I am still experiencing this issue. It is NOT fixed. I've left two other comments relating to this under different tickets that all related to cloud syncs.
Seems to happen due to larger save files. They don't sync. Smaller ones do. Please resolve ASAP.
Reopened ticket.

My wife experienced this when going between Xbox One and Xbox One S while my son has no issues with sync between Xbox One S and Xbox One S. I didn't know if this information would be relevant to solving issue.
Confirmed and updated affected versions.

Issue is still prevalent as of 1.2.10

This looks like a similar Game breaking bug I have encountered.
https://bugs.mojang.com/projects/MCPE/issues/MCPE-33114?filter=allopenissues
This is quite a serious problem, and has stopped me working on any of what is left of my world saves that I have transferred over from console edition. I lost 7 months of work in bedrock because it doesn't save larger game saves to the cloud. AND there is NO WAY to back up your saves. I lost so much.

Hello, running v1.4.2 for Minecraft (Better Together XBL version) on Xbox One, and I believe I still see this issue occurring also, perhaps in different forms.
1) Title Disappears with correct point
I started a "World A" on Xbox A, played for a while, Quite and Saved, and then tried to get the world on Xbox B. I couldn't see it until I played another world, but when I came back, the "World A" had no title and was just blank, however, I'm left at the correct spot I left off at (This is without doing any copies)
2) Hybird world saved with renaming
For simplicity's sake, played World C, and made a sync very early on in the game. I played on the same console (Xbox A) for a long time and go pretty far, reported the game to be ~60 MB. Then on Xbox B after a while, I downloaded the sync'd world but it was woefully out of date, again without the name. So I just renamed and saved and quit, and left. However, on Xbox A, the world that is now there combines the two incorrectly. For example, I made a diamond sword and lots of fences on Xbox A, and Xbox B definitely did not have any of that, just wanted to download it. However, when I come back, I lost most buildings and walls but still have some items and walls. So it seems that the syncs tried to resolve themselves but did not (unsure if this deserves separate issue)
Can anyone else confirm this happening?
Not sure where else to post with this being a major issue. Thanks in advance.

Pablo, I think I'm experiencing the same thing you are with some additional issues. My "synced" games lose their titles. My creative maps change/ show survival as the type, but when you attempt to play them they act like a half survival half creative mess. The syncs corrupt causing the maps not to render fully and huge holes appear in the map. Time spent building in a map on one console is not fully there in the other map, appearing in bits and pieces... and often appearing as a large hole all the way through the map. These holes drop all the way through to below bedrock - even in a survival map. For instance, I was paddling South in my boat in an ocean and looking East. I paddled into a hole in the ocean and fell through to below bedrock and died. Since it is a survival map and I fell to the bottom of a hole in the ocean, there was no way to retrieve any lost items.
See the images I added as xbox_one_s.jpg and xbox_one_1.jpg - images from two different consoles in my home on the same network.

We have 2 Xbox one and 2 Xbox one x and are having same issue, getting message the Xbox is taking a long time to sync with cloud,, the main problem is going from Xbox one to Xbox one X, part of me wonders if this is the way to force us to pay monthly fees for realms,,,, I don't play cross-platform I just want to be able to switch between Xbox one consoles because sometimes other family members are using the console I have been playing on, I would've never switched if I knew I was going to lose that ability, so can someone please clarify if this is a bug or if this is the new reality for playing Minecraft on Xbox one

Experiencing the same issue. Have an Xbox One X and One S. I am stuck playing Minecraft on my Xbox One S because every time I load on my One X I get the "Your other Xbox is taking too long to sync..." Meanwhile, every other game I play between two consoles syncs within seconds. My ticket was "MCPE-31855."

WHY THIS BUG IS STILL HERE!

Synching has never worked for me on any world, I always get the error message that the other console is taking to long to synch. I never had any issues on xbox one edition.
Thank you for your report!
However, this issue has been temporarily closed as Awaiting Response
Is this still an issue in the latest version? (1.5.3)
Some changes have been made to the syncing process. When testing please give it time for the worlds to sync fully before trying to load them on another device.
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

Hello Mega_Spud
Thanks for working on this for us,, seem they are getting close on Xbox One to Xbox One sync, but still not there, No progress at all on Xbox One to Xbox One X no sync among worlds when switching consoles.
I Started up on the Xbox One console that was up to date with the most work completed on the main world. I worked on it about 15 mins, saved and quite I left the Xbox on for 20 min then ended the Minecraft game, and shut down that Xbox one. Please note all my Xbox consoles updated when I started up the game, as I had not played since June, so they are running latest version.
I went to my second Xbox one signed in and started the game, it looked like it loaded asked which version I wanted to sync, the June one from console or cloud from 8/17/18, I loaded cloud 8/17 and It appeared to sync loaded slowly up to 30% or more and screen went to start game but error msg stating sync did not complete or it was corrupted, and to go back and replay game on 1st Xbox one and try sync again.
I shut down game and that 2nd Xbox one. and moved to one of my two, Xbox one X consoles but their was no effort to even try to sync when game started, and its version of the same world listed it at 149mb while my 1st Xbox one list that world at 303mb.
So their is still a very serious problem with the sync of worlds not only between Xbox ones, in which there is some communication but errors, to the Xbox one X in which no sync exist between the one x and the Xbox one consoles. please reopen you can view my worlds,, my gamer tag should be accessible, its my sign in user name, or contact me by email.

Hello,
I am having the same problem with my saves. I have an Xbox One and Xbox One S at home and alternate between them when I play. My minecraft save transferred once but with a ton of bugs. The entire first floor of my house went missing as well as anything on the same level including close by structures. The ocean monument near me which I raided got restored and the zombie villagers I cured disappeared. It was as if the newest save was merged with an older one. After that I fixed the damage although some chunk glitches appeared (Large square holes leading down to the void.)
Recently it synced once and was without errors. However today I tried to sync again but after a long syncing process, a message popped up saying that the save file is damaged or improperly synced and that I should try playing it where it is ok and try to think again. I did that. It didn't help. I even deleted all saves from the console and manually transferred the save data from the external hard drive of the other Xbox. Still the same message shows up.
Not sure why the issue is marked as "Resolved." A fix to the problem would be appreciated.
Thanks

Same here. Not sure why this marked as "resolved" either. Still not working between Xbox One X and One S. The Sync doesn't timeout, but it is not the most recent world copy that migrates.

Thanks to all who responded over the weekend, Like Tom, Zachary and John, And Helped Keep this Issue going and reopened it, Please KEEP It Up. ask your friends to post as well. I know a lot have given up as this Issue has dragged on for way too Long, most just give up and play on the one console, but that's not a solution sooner or later you will upgrade consoles what then write off all those worlds.
You know the old saying about the squeaky wheel, If we dont keep making noise no attention will be given to our problem, for most of us the whole reason we own multiple consoles is so we can use one when other family members are using the others, and it sucks the sync is not working to allow us to pick up on any console and continue playing at the point we left off at, and it sounds like a lot of others have stopped playing Minecraft like me, due to this Issue as well. Some of my worlds have years of work put into them that I don't want to put at risk of losing.
Thanks also to Mega_Spud for reopening Pls Keep pushing for FIX, Is there anything we can do to assist, I can make a video from each console showing the problem, if someone from tech support wants to contact us that's fine, could you answer if they can duplicate the issue? are do they not see the same problem? and does the problem lie with Minecraft or Xbox consoles.

I went back to the Xbox one with the most up-to-date world play on it, without giving me the option to load what was on the cloud or on that console it loaded the cloud and I lost maybe 6 to 8 months worth of work I decided to try the Xbox one X to see if it would at least copy what was on the cloud as well so all Xbox versions would be the same but that did not happen it will not load the game at all and asked me to just to play off-line I won't do that so I just close down the game,
There is no sync communication between the original Xbox ones and the Xbox one X
There does appear to be some good news I went to my second Xbox one and started the game and it appears the sync between original Xbox one to other Xbox one consoles units is working I still lost months of work but at least both were synced now,
It is likely that anyone updating their Xbox One is will lose some information from the game in order to get it to re-sync with other Xbox One console's , I don't have an Xbox One S so if anyone can test and verify if the sync is working between Xbox one and Xbox one S and let us know.
Pay attention to your world file size before you attempt this so you can see if there is a difference afterward.

I just did a factory reset on my Xbox with keeping data and it triggers this problem as well. I am unsure of what to do. It is only doing this on my large world though. I'm getting the Not Fully Synced response.

I have an Xbox One and Xbox One S and can confirm that the sync of worlds does not work.

Question for Alex and Tim, Did You either of you get and update in the past week, My reg Xbox one to Xbox one did start to sync after both got update last week, this was my 2nd update in 2 weeks I dont know what it did, as I found no info on the update just watched it update on those consoles, the Xbox one X have not had a 2nd update, so I'm not playing on them but I load game once or twice a week to see if it updates.

I had something like that happen. It caused an old backup save of my world that was not working to sync. I have been waiting for another update to come out and maybe allow me to fix the main save.

Oi. Everyone, an update came out today. See if a world of yours syncs. I will try once I get home.

Nothing in this update about world sync being fixed 😞

Neither was the last, but that still caused a world of mine to sync. If you wan explanations, I have none.

I just checked and sync between Xbox One and Xbox One S worked for me. I updated the game, turned on the save file to update it, then synced it on the other Xbox. I appeared on the same spot with the same block I placed in front. I still have not checked if there are any chunk errors like those that happened to me before but I can confirm that the sync, in general, works. Thanks, Mojang!

Still no dice for me, but I think I am suffering from a different bug.

Yeah I’m not ready to test it until it’s confirmed fixed. I’ve gotten really far on this world and I already had to start over twice smh

I updated the old xbox, tested the game and my worlds were still there. Updated my new xbox S, and still got the message that my other xbox was taking too long to sync. I do not want to cancel sync and risk losing my world. Is there any way I can store a copy of my world to somewhere other than the cloud??? The sync DOES NOT work for me. I CAN NOT play the game on my new xbox as there is no option to play without syncing.

Have you tried updating the save file on the console where it works? Place a couple of blocks, walk around. Then save & exit and try other console. This worked for me.

Thanks Tim, I did try this. There is nothing after you finish playing that says whether it is syncing or not, so I changed a few things, let the game run, saved it, left it a bit, closed the game and left the Xbox on for another ten minutes and then turned it off, made sure it was fully off before starting up the other one. It just doesn't seem to sync when I stop playing. At least I can't see if it is syncing or not.

Had the same issue today on Xbox One, 01/10/2018. Played on a different console yesterday and it synced my data to that console. After several hours of play I logged out by clicking "Save and Quit". It returned to menu and said "Syncing user data".
I logged in today on my usual device and it showed my old save, none of the progress I completed on my other Xbox. Even after "Syncing user data" the game didn't update.
I switched it off and went to play on the other console (the one with the new progress i had made). After logging in, the game said "Syncing user data". Upon clicking play, the only save available was my old save before making any progress. All the progress I had made has been lost, and both consoles have synced my old data instead of the new data.
Please Fix!
I'd love to hear your feedback on this issue now that the 1.7 stable update has been released.
Please could you try syncing your larger world saves and let me know? Patience is the key, especially when using slower connections, and you might need to open the world in 1.7 for it to trigger the upload sync.
From our tests, it might take some time for large saves to sync correctly (20+ minutes), and you might encounter the message "your other console is taking to long to sync". Just press "Try again" (not sync current data) and it should eventually upload to the cloud.
It might take another 10+ minutes to download the world from the cloud, and at some time the progress bar might freeze for a couple of seconds but the transfer should complete.

Hi MegaSpud, I made a copy of my world which was then syncing and showing correctly correctly on xbox one a few weeks ago and then I tried to sync to xbox one s. The copy showed up in xbox one s but the original world did not. This means that, depending on which xbox I sign in to, I have two very different worlds. What are the chances of me being able to sync on both, without one overwriting the other? I do not want to lose this world so have not played it on xbox one since it stopped syncing correctly.
edit: all is working fine on my xbox s, but only the one copy is showing up. I'm not going to try it on my other one until we are given another way to back up our data and I don't think this is in your plans.

I’m interested to hear other people confirm it’s working before loading it up on my other Xbox.

Hi Mega,
Thanks for all you do and your relentless help in stomping out bugs. Let me start by saying I am no longer as seriously interested in this issue as I was from the start. I now pay for five realms that keep perfectly synced between the two Xbox's and all devices for that matter (iPhone, iPad, Fire TV, etc) So, that alone says "this" issue can be fixed on worlds.
My two Xbox's on the same wired network located about 40 feet apart and connected to the Internet with Gigabit service from my ISP Cox. For connections that support Gigabit on both ends I go get very close to a Gigabit transfer.
Please refer to the files uploaded "XL_Xbox_One_X" and "XL_Xbox_One_S". I just took a shot of the first few worlds just a few minutes apart, and this tells the entire story. NO, sync is not working as it should. First note the world count 21 vs 34. Next notice the world list is different. Also the thumbnails do not match. And where the items do match to some extent, the file sizes are different. Nope this is not in sync.
Now the good news is, for the most part I believe by updating a world or launching a world on both Xboxes, gives you the same world on both boxes. But again, I don't really test that a lot, because I use Realms most of the time now.
I understand someone may be on WiFi with a 25Mb Internet service and it would talk a long time to download the world. We really can't fix that. But that said, it would not take much time or bandwidth to sync the list, names, file size and the very small thumbnail. Longer for a huge list of worlds, but that is user management. Also, their is no reason why we can't have all of our worlds synced across all platforms. That would be truly "Better Together". But would that make Realms less attractive? Maybe, but other things make them attractive and more useful then worlds. And I am sure additional features will be added to Realms in the future (please add logging - grin).
I hope this helps and please keep up all the good work. Bedrock is getting a lot better, but still has a way to go to have the features we loved on Xbox Console Edition. I still believe we should have the ability to turn off "auto save" and do the saves the way we want. And the game just does not play as smooth as Xbox Console Edition. To be honest, I have and always will have priority on getting Bedrock play as good as it was on Console, and until that happen I don't care so much about new features. Guess that is just a 70 year old Minecraft player that doesn't like change.
Thanks,
Xltel
It has been possible in some cases to recover the saved game, but if the corrupted save is already synced to the cloud, there's unlikely to be a complete save available, unfortunately. Here's a little bit of information about how syncing the games should work:
The upload process on the console is automatic and runs as a background process. If you have more than one console the "Your other console is taking to long to sync message, Try again message" might appear on your second console, if the world is still being uploaded. You can not monitor the upload process, as it runs on the system as a background process. Except by looking at this message from a different console.
If the world is fully present as a local save (the local save data is not deleted by for example a reinstall), you can trigger the local save to be uploaded to the cloud by creating a copy or possibly opening the world again. This copy will then in the background be uploaded to the cloud by the background process from the system. In case your world is greyed out, it most likely does not have the local save data (or incomplete) and might download the corrupted data from the cloud instead.
In 1.7 there is a change that should prevent the issue from occurring again with large worlds.

Hello all,
i can confirm this is still an ongoing issue. I main an XBoxOneX. I copied my world. Went over to my Xbox OneS and loaded up Minecraft. My original world was out of sync by over 90 days and when I tried to play the copied world which did port over, it said it was corrupted and could not be opened.

Was this issue ever resolved? Even with the new update it stil seems I am confined to one console because the Xbox sync is not working. Even after copying worlds, and heading over to the second console, the copies are corrupted and unplayable. Interested to hear if anyone else is having success.

This is something I tried which seemed to fix the problem hope it works for others. What I did was logged into the new xbox one loaded the game attempted to sync which it failed told it to sync to last save. Then I network transferred minecraft from the old system and restarted the console on the new system when it was done. When I loaded the game after everything was there. Hope this helps

DONT IGNORE IT. HELP!! BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM I AM STUCK IN XBOX ONE EDITION. PLZ SOVLE THIS.

I know this isn’t a solution but because they seemed to neglect fixing the issue for so long, I moved my world to Realms and have had no problems with syncing since it’s done on Xbox’s cloud.

One of my Xbox is broken, can anyone tell me is this bug still here? I want to play the bedrock version.

I just had this happen yesterday, I tried to play on my console in a different room and it said ”FAILED TO SYNC WORLD DATA- the world is not fully synced or has been corrupted. Try playing the world on a console where it’s in a good state and try migrating it again" I then went to my other Xbox and tried playing the game and it tried to sync to the Xbox that failed to sync and now neither of them will play my world. How can I get my world restored? I contacted Xbox support to see how to access my cloud data and I was told it could only be done by the game moderator. I'm beyond frustrated as this is a new world I created to replace the one that got ruined with the last update and now after completely rebuilding it seems my game is lost AGAIN. I'm ready to quit playing Minecraft all together.

Hi, I can definitely relate to the frustration. I would encourage you to switch to realms. You can even upload your current world as the realm you play on. Ever since I switched to realms I haven’t had one sync issue and I play on two xboxes and a Nintendo switch. You can get realms for $4 a month.

Actually can my world in my Xbox One sync to switch edition of Minecraft?
Transfer world from Xbox One to switch?
I don't want to pay extra for realms.

Not that I am aware. The world is saved native to the device. You could join a world on switch while you were on Xbox because of Better Together, but I’d don’t think you can transfer saves like that. That’s what’s nice about realms, you’re saving it on Microsoft’s cloud and you can access it anywhere.

I've had a similar issue to the ones mentioned above with my world. Around October when my world size exceeded 100 mega bites, I could no longer sync it between xboxes. At the time I didn't really care since I only played on the xbox I used most but recently my xbox did a factory reset wich meant all my worlds needed to sync again. This meant my world was forever lost because I can't sync it to the xbox or any of its copies that exceeded 100 megabytes. My world reached over 300 megabytes before I lost it meaning i would lose months of progress if i go back to the newest copy that will worked. Please fix this bug because it can take huge chunks of progress from worlds if people aren't careful.

Also if I were to get realms is it possible to put my world that I cant sync onto my xbox into a 2 player realm? I would be willing to pay to get it back.

Glad this was reopened. I have been experiencing this on sync issue on my Xbox one consoles. I can currently only play Minecraft on one console. On the console having issues, I have deleted my user data and tried uninstalling the game and this still didn’t sync the latest world I was playing on the other console.

I am having the same issue as @Hailey. Iam playing on xbox and it does not save progress. It seems to happen when my realm is not accessible as well. I have tried uninstalling, clearing the cache, andlogging in and out ofmy xbox account which helps sometimes.

My saves also do not sync between 2 Xboxes and I have had progress lost and world corruption. Moving between consoles is effectively impossible.

I've been playing Minecraft for several months on my Xbox One. I just received my Series X a few days ago and I wanted to get everything transferred so I could use it as my main system. Minecraft had to be installed from the store (couldn't transfer) and when I try to play I get the "your other xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud" error. After waiting more than an hour I hit the Try Again button and still the error pops. If I hit the other button and Sync Last Saved Data, I get a list of worlds from 04/12/2021 or earlier (7 weeks old at least). Both consoles have version 1.16.22101.70 installed.
Expected result is that I could play minecraft on either console and have the same worlds available.
What actually happened was no sync for any worlds/progress newer than 7 weeks.
Both consoles have internet connectivity and it happens whether the Xbox One is turned on or off. I've tried the consoles connected to different routers and I've verified they're not accessing the same port.

I had the same issue as John Riddle did on the 1st of June, 2021. If I click "Sync Last Saved Data" All of my worlds were set back by a few saves ago and almost half of my worlds were corrupted and unplayable. Managed to get my favorite worlds onto my new Xbox by opening up Minecraft on my original Xbox, clicking "b" every time the "your other Xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud" error pops up, getting a few actions between the error popup, and moving my 3 favorite worlds onto realms to upload them and download again from my new Xbox. Definitely scared me thinking my 500 mb world would be gone forever and want it fixed so that no one else has this problem.

I had this issue a few months ago. I just thought it was a "me" thing, but apparently not. I've fixed my issue by now, but I hope you guys get some kind of fix. its a serious issue that we get no warning for.

i play in android.
I lost my main world with months of gameplaying. What supposed to be a great day became the worst, in the releasing day of 1.18 update. I was in the beta, than i leave the beta to play the 1.18 update, and for that i needed to desinstall and install the game. But when i desinstaled the game all my external worlds togheter with the back up got deleted for ever. For me mc is just frustating, the worst is the need of do it everything again all the farms again probably to get deleted afterwards.

Unable to sync between iPad and Xbox…

I hope this gets fixed. It has been in the game for ages and kind of ruins one of the main things about bedrock, being able to play your world on different devices.
