Present in Preview 26.30.29 and all versions prior
I have only tested with tameable custom entities' death messages.
This issue can be avoided using the Scripting API, but is highly inefficient in many potential cases.
Death by Fatal blow (generic):
Unknown was slain by Default Mob
Fatal blow dealt to other mob (generic):
Default Mob was slain by Custom Mob
It doesn’t happen to any other bipeds or undead either. It’s specifically just the husk.
Can confirm that this affects Java Edition 25w33a.
As of Minecraft Preview 1.21.110.20 this bug has been fixed. This bug report should be marked CLOSED.
Can confirm, they do not interact with trapped chests
Aperro this works as intended. The copper golems cannot find any of the items in the chest that it is carrying in it’s hand. It’s job is to sort these items into pre-existing stacks. They carried copper blocks, not chests. If they had been carrying chests, they would have deposited the item.
Oh. Yeah /gamerule mobGriefing was true. I didn’t know about this. Kind of confusing, but technically an arrow would be a mob.
Oh. I just looked at the clip, yep. That's what happened. It seems that this has been part of a long term bug that's existed for a LONG time. This is a duplicate bug.
That makes sense, but what if the spawn egg used was supposed to carry NBT tags that result in piglins and hoglins not zombifying? That was the case when I did use them, which made absolutely no sense when the babies did zombify. The same thing happens when breeding hoglins, which logically makes no sense at all.

I plan on editing this further soon. It's going to look a little broken for now.
EDIT: I have fixed the description, the commands should be able to be copied.
It was really hard to get the description to work properly. Took a while to fix it.
I forgot to mention, this is in the old UI for creating a world.
Hopefully this helps someone respond. Addon containing a basic tameable entity that can be tamed with sugar. I threw this together in half an hour.
