Cant help but feel like I've been slapped in the face along with the other 222 people who up voted this issue. The real issue to me is that previously it was possible to build a trident killer with a gap in the kill chamber to allow xp orbs to be transported by water stream. In the case of multi spawners it was a great way to mend gear quickly. I've tried everything I can think of to re-engineer this behavior using the new mechanics to no avail. Mojang seems to have broken the cardinal rule which the community has voiced loud and clear. "Changing features is fine, but don't take them away." If QC or 1 tick block dropping were taken away from the Java community. The loudest voices and supporters of Mojang would be enraged and I know something would be done about it. Why is Bedrock brushed to the side when it's the platform that the majority of people play on? If this is really, a works as intended mechanic someone needs to explain to us why this is "better" than what we had previously. Are trident physics required to be this way to allow drowned despawning? I doubt it, but if something like that is the case I think we'd be much more likely to accept the change.
I built a villager trading hall designed with rooms for librarians with every enchantment. After securing a librarian for every other book I can confirm that at no time have I seen a single trident enchantment book for sale from any of the hundreds (thousands?) Of librarians I rolled trades for. The wiki says these should be available from villager trades. If that is not the intended mechanic, perhaps the wiki should be updated?
I've actually been able to reproduce this on 1.14.30 for Xbox in a Realm on Survival. When I've got a redstone machine, with a faster clock and pistons creating a bit of a frame rate drop I can user the fast equip button (for me I use "Y") and I've regularly had my Shield either vanish or duplicate. It's only been happening with the shield in survival tho and it is a bit hit or miss. Which is mildly annoying since I've lost more shields than I've duplicated.
