Could it be that the deletion on the in-game save menu screen is not reflected in the cloud save data? Therefore, I think that even if you take the action to delete it in the game, it will not be reflected in the actual data.
I can only speculate, so please work with Microsoft to resolve the issue.
The game is currently at version 1.19.2101.0 and this issue is still ongoing. I reported this problem to Microsoft from the XBOX console, but it has not been resolved. All world data seems to be treated as one save data, but we propose a change that allows them to be managed individually as individual data.
The way I tried to solve it was
・I deleted the save data on the main unit and resynchronized from the cloud.
・I tried to delete the grayed out save data after synchronizing it again.
I tried the above, but I can't completely delete the save data. The appearance is removed, but it remains grayed out again on the next boot.
I was very disappointed with this issue.
We have also stopped participating in the beta.
The fun time I've been playing has been destroyed.
Please read the comments and take steps to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.
I regularly make backups of my data and play the game, but it is impossible to anticipate a serious bug like this one in advance, and I find the system's inability to avoid problems like this one problematic.
I feel that if the version of the game is different from the last time you played it, you need to make a new copy of the data or ask the user for confirmation.
(A warning message is not enough.)
I would like to see improvements to the system so that users can play the game with peace of mind, even if it is a beta version.
Judgment does not always occur, but judgment may occur from a state where the torch cannot be seen like a movie.
Today's update (1.16.21060.0) resolves the issue. thanks you.
Main symptoms (summary)
Frequent forced termination at the title screen.
In rare cases, the game starts but does not finish loading the profile.
I have tried "reinstalling the game" and "changing the installation storage", but there is no improvement.
I haven't seen any improvement in my environment yet.
It is forcibly terminated on the title screen of the game, and it ends no matter how many times you try to start it.
You can start the game by restarting the XBOX main unit once, but you cannot check the loading of the profile.
If you quit the game once and then start it again, it will be forcibly terminated on the title screen again.
XboxSeries X OS Version: 10.0.19041.6287

I tried to reproduce this issue and restarted play, but at this time I could not confirm that the problem was reproduced. I'll report back if the problem happens again.
