I also have this issue on iPhone and when blindly clicking through to a random world some ui is also hidden there aswell

This issue seems to still persist. I’m having the problem on both Realms and single player worlds. In creative, I seemingly also lose operator privileges, as if it is resetting everything about the player

Yes, the 26.1 update hasn’t been released and the issue is still very prevalent! The latest update was 26.0 released on Feb 18,2026.

Yes, 26.1 isn’t out yet the 26.0 is the latest update and issue hasn’t been fixed yet. That is why I have sent a report show casing the issue with the latest update that had been release Feb 18, 2026.

Any idea of why movement is not just completely removed? It could be easy if something like a minecart or boat interaction happened, where the client knows the player has an anchor or something and it doesn’t move from there.

Disconnecting from the Internet and launching Minecraft - or clicking Sing In if Minecraft is already running - and then re-connecting to the Internet worked as a workaround for us.

But this is far from a solution - my young son shouldn’t have to disable and re-enable his network card, and doesn’t have the Admin rights to do so, just to play Minecraft.
