I had tried downloading Optifine to see if it would help, but my computer crashed as soon as the game loaded. I can now say that my computer will not wake up.

Can confirm. I've played on multiplayer a lot with my sister and her friends lately and the game lags horribly whenever someone starts typing.

Platforms we use are: Nintendo Switch, Xbox One X, Windows 10

This happens a lot with me on the Xbox One X, except that I have to wait about 5-10 minutes for it to actually start loading.

Does it still glow at night even without the outline? I also think this has happened in the Xbox, Switch, and Win10 versions.

I remember this sorta happening in my sister's world on the switch version. Everything was fine in the menu, but upon opening the world the missing texture thing replaced many blocks and entities. After leaving the world and getting back on, it was fixed.
