What if I want a flat road?

I can wax a half weather copper and when it gets stuck by lightning it won't change, but there is no way to prevent it from changing back if it is fully weathered.

IT does need to be waxed because lightning can undo the oxidizing. If I want to keep a fully weathered roof weathered, then it needs to be waxed to prevent lightning from de-weathering it.
