Comparator's back redstone torches blink when toggling front torch and receiving input from a container

The Bug

When a comparator is facing away from a chest with something in it, and you right-click the comparator to make the third redstone torch deactivate, the back two torches will blink off sometimes. Also, the comparator will switch to the unpowered state, as can be seen be using f3.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Place down a chest and some items inside of it.

  • Place down a comparator beside the chest so that it receives a redstone signal from it.

  • Switch the mode of the comparator constantly by right-clicking it.

  • Take note as to whether or not powered comparators momentarily become depowered when switching their mode.

Observed Behavior

Powered comparators momentarily become depowered when switching their mode.

Expected Behavior

Powered comparators would not momentarily become depowered when switching their mode.

Can confirm in 1.19. The issue here is that comparators that receive power from containers with items in them sometimes change their "powered" block state momentarily when altering their mode.

Can confirm in 1.19.2.
