Case 1: When a comparator is attached to a double chest and the chest block that the comparator is not attached to is broken, the comparator will not update its output to reflect the new maximum container size and the potentially new number of items in the chest.
Case 2: When a comparator is attached to completely full single chest and another chest is placed next to that chest to produce a double chest facing the same direction as the original single chest, the comparator will not update.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w30c? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
I'm suddenly having this problem in 14w32b. Host isn't updated to 14w32d yet, so can't confirm that.

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time.

Seems a little WAI, in my opinion. The comparator is looking at the block, which is the half of the doublechest it's pointing at. It's completely in keeping with how double chests work, to expect the comparator to count only the half it's looking at.
After an update the complete chest inventory is considered.

Oh I see.
