Mouse won't move first couple seconds after you open your inventory

This is no longer awaiting response as I have reported the same bug, had it removed as a duplicate of this one, and submitted my crash report!

Confirmed for 1.13.1, new crash report attached for that version.

Some instructions to reproduce

Open Minecraft through the launcher, click single player, click create new world, click create new world, once loaded in:

move the mouse in any direction at a constant speed, press E to open your inventory. at this point you will see the cursor seemingly ignore your input for a short period of time. (Note: it isn't ignoring input, at least not clicks. If you have an item in the inventory slot you start at when opening the inventory, and click immediately after opening it, the game will register the click and pick up the item... but it still doesn't let you move the cursor until a specific length of time passes from pressing E.

Confirmed in 1.14 Pre-Release 1 on MacOS 10.11.6 (F3 + C crash report attached), and I have noticed this bug since the first time I played a 1.13 snapshot. Never encountered anything like this bug in any version of 1.12.2 or lower.

Same instructions to reproduce. Reproducible for me in any world. 

Major annoyance. 1.13 and above is unplayable for me because of a combination of this bug and MC-132080. These MacOS specific bugs are especially annoying because MacOS players are in the minority and these bugs are less urgent than bugs for all players/Windows players. Hope this gets fixed eventually. 😞

Its useless report this, they prefers windows community. Yesterday came out 1.14 official version and same problem didn t fix the bug,its An humillation and ridiculous for us (Mac os users). 2 years with the same fcking bug 😃

I am having the same issue on versions 1.13+, is there anyone working on this issue at the moment, its really annoying!

Is this still and issue as of 1.15-pre1 or later?

Can still reproduce on 1.16.1.

I have this problem too, really annoying considering any official release below 1.13 works fine.

It also seems like with some newer versions there's a bug with the player's view teleporting after exiting out of the inventory if you move your mouse in the inventory...

Continues to be a problem. I've tested it on three macOS devices. Really want this bug to be fixed.

Issue has been persistent since 17w43a, the first Snapshot after 1.12.2 (First Snapshot of 1.13). This is the version LWJGL has been updated from 2.9.4-nightly to V3.1.2, which has most likely caused the issue. Probably not in Mojangs hands sadly.

Is there a community fix out there? This problem makes the game pretty annoying to play. For example if I want to sift through a bunch of chests to put away all my stuff, the mouse takes its sweet time giving me back control.

Running the Windows version using Wine is a workaround.

This issue is expected to be resolved in LWJGL 3.3.0. See the comment, as well as the upstream PR.

For anyone using MultiMC, the solution is also pretty simple.

1. Check "Use system installation of GLFW" under MultiMC Settings > Minecraft

2. Install the latest version of GLFW (easiest using Homebrew)

brew install glfw

Thanks for the fix, I was able to get it working using the Intel version of Minecraft 1.16.1. However, is there a way to implement the GLFW solution natively on Apple Silicon? (I am currently running Minecraft natively through MultiMC using this: https://github.com/yusefnapora/m1-multimc-hack; was wondering if making a fix compatible with that would be feasible so Apple Silicon Mac users don't have to lose performance to get rid of the inventory delay)

Update: If you use the MultiMC setup I linked earlier to run Minecraft with Apple Silicon, you can go to https://www.glfw.org/download.html and download the macOS precompiled binaries. Then, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to glfw-3.3.6.bin.MACOS/lib-arm64 (3.3.6 was the most recent version when I set this up)

2. Rename libglfw.3.dylib to libglfw.dylib and copy the file

3. Navigate to m1-multimc-hack/lwjglnatives (from the MultiMC Apple Silicon setup)

4. Paste and replace libglfw.dylib

I couldn't get this to work with downloading the latest GLFW through brew and making MultiMC use the computer installation of GLFW, but I may have done it wrong. Either way, there is a solution for Apple Silicon users.
