Nether is a place where you cant place water u know this since u made MC and the nether and u cant place water in the nether but u can place water in cauldrons in the nether idk if this is on purpose and its a feature or if its a bug i made this in case its a bug. Also i did not put all affected versions since im not sure how many it is all i know its alot of versions probably below 1.8

MCPE-17178 "Nether Cauldron", which reported the same behavior in Bedrock Edition a couple years ago, was marked Works As Intended.
The developers ' decision to mark it as WAI seems strange, this bug should be fixed, it doesn't make any sense
work as intended
