If you (or any other entity) are on fire and stand in a cauldron with water in it, the fire will not go out. Also when this is fixed, AI should count cauldrons as a water source when trying to avoid burning.

Is there a guideline for what is and isn't considered a suggestion? I consider water not putting out fire to be a bug.
Here ya go: Bug: A mistake in a software project. Any observed reproducible behavior not consistent with the behavior intended by the developers may be classified as a bug.
So then this is a bug, standing in water normally puts out fire and this is not consistent with that behavior.
Sphax: The same for the cauldron... If cauldrons should vanish fire (I think it's totally pointless), lava bucket should burn because when you throw a bucket at lava it burns!
And BTW, why you want the cauldron vanishing entities on fire? As I said, it's pointless...
I thought Mojang decided not to do this. If I remember correctly, they were originally going to do this, but decided not to. I'm probably wrong, however.
