MC-9553 was mainly fixed, but a part of it (visible in a screenshot) still applies. As asked for in MC-9553, I'm creating a new report for it: If the drop (item entity) of ice, stained glass or some other transparent blocks are in front of a Nether portal, the portal does not render behind it and instead the blocks behind the portal are visible through the item entity. This does not affect drops of e.g. regular glass. It also affects water and beacon beams (in place of the Nether portal blocks) and held items in third person mode (in place of the drop).

Just adding my own screenshot from my duplicate bug report where this bug also happens with transparent items being worn by armor stands
[media]This bug reappeared in 1.15-pre1, see MC-165962.

This bug also causes beacon beams to not appear behind transparent items. It's not just dropped items causing this, but also items held in third person.
