Ghost blocks sometimes appear when insta-mining

Yup. It's back.

Was able to confirm with the same gear as you and when mining clay. Seems to happen way less often now though.

Happens with dirt and stone when on high latency with my testing.

I had a ghost dirt block occur on a server, with the client and server both running on the same physical machine. (Eff 5 shovel of course).

So it can clearly occur on low latency connections as well. Still rare, I got it this once but I could not cause it again.

I once got it in singleplayer too, this is not limited to servers.

Can confirm for 1.18.2
I have experienced serveral ghost stone blocks in my singleplayer world when instant mining with a beacon. All happened within the same chunk I were digging out.

Seems to have been fixed at some point. Haven't been able to reproduce for several snapshots.

Assuming this might have been fixed in 22w11a, along with MC-219875.

Cannot reproduce in 1.20-pre1. Instead now we get blocks that immediately reappear after initially appearing to be destroyed.
