The bug

When standing in a powder snow cauldron, the powder snow particles are not shown. This is inconsistent with a player standing in a powder snow block.

How to reproduce

  1. Place down a cauldron and fill it with powder snow

  2. Stand in the cauldron

  3. Notice how powder snow particles do not appear

What's the difference between this and MC-205045, and do you maybe think merging them would be better?

I think the issues of particles and frostbite effects should be separated.

In my opinion, they would be better separated. The particles seem to be unconnected with the freezing. Particles appear even in creative mode, even though freezing does not.
