[MC-205250] Amethyst geodes can generate in a stronghold and can potentially destroy the end portal frames

The bug

Amethyst geodes are able to generate in a stronghold. As shown in the screenshot, half of the geode has generated without containing any calcite or smooth basalt blocks. It may also generate in the end portal room in some seeds, potentially destroying one of the frames of the end portal.

This got me curious about what would happen if geode generation overlapped with an end portal, so I found one example of that, but thankfully the end portal room is perfectly preserved. See for yourselves:

I also found an amethyst geode being overlapped by the end portal room, and the end portal room was intact:

I'm requesting for this ticket to be reopened, as this still appears to be an issue in 21w20a and has not been fixed in 21w19a. You can use the following seed + coordinates to reproduce this in 21w20a. I've also attached a screenshot.

Your screenshot is of a completely unrelated section of stronghold. Unfortunately, the overlap between features is a separate much more difficult issue to solve. Geodes generating no longer remove end portal frame blocks, and that is the best we can do for now. If you find an end portal that has a block destroyed by a geode overlapping it, then this bug can be reopened. Until then, the overlap is a separate issue, as the portal is not at risk.

Hi I think is os still currently an issue I started my new world a month ago and just found my portal a crystal had spawed threw the whole room and when I broke the crystal not only was some of my lava gone but I dont have a single portal block left.

I uploaded 3 images 2 views on where my portal should be after I broke the crystal and one of the my inventory so u could see the blocks I got from breaking it I would like this issue to be reopened. Cause it is still and issue for me andnim not sure what I can do, will I have to start a new world because it spawned in it?
