Had this issue happen on a realm for version 1.20.6 with a few of my friends.
Just uninstalled and reinstalled the Minecraft launcher after several attempts of trying to fix the launcher crashing during the loadscreen of the launcher. Finally got that fixed and now I'm stuck on the green "Waiting on install" button. Have not been able to even attempt launching any of the version instances.
There are no files in `.minecraft/assets/indexes` yet. Any ideas?
Edit: Seems that Microsoft Store was failing to download Bedrock Edition. Which caused Java Edition not willing to be launched.
Wanted to use Suspicious Gravel and Sand in an Adventure map. Can't use the brushing feature. It'd be great if there was a CanBrush-Tag for the brush, CanStrip-Tag for the axe.
Whatever this bug was, I cannot reproduce it in 22w46a.
I created the world in 22w45a. Enabled the experimental data packs. Took the items from the creative inventory and placed them down. No commands were used to obtain the fence posts.
I can do that, and also link a video source. https://youtu.be/dkyrXaTDzi8
@Apollo Had to test if 22w44a actually fixed this and from the looks of it, It did!
I found a temporary workaround, that may or may not work for you. Copy the launcher_accounts.json and rename it to launcher_accounts_microsoft_store.json it will most likely trigger a duplicate file prompt.
Whatever this was, does not seem to be present in the current snapshots or versions of 1.17. I can no longer replicate this issue. Case closed?
I feel it may be related. But the report was marked as Invalid, yet I think that may be on other grounds than what this report covers.
The game rule's default value has not changed as they describe in their report. Here it is a GUI thing displaying "Default" values, saying that the default value is what you entered. In my personal opinion, the default value should show the initial default value, and not what the user entered.
I could be wrong.

Was disabling the sound for friendly creatures and suddenly I could not hear the mining of a block sound. However, this seems to be the only sound that is placed in friendly creatures audio channel. The sound for a block when it has broken still appears to be in the correct audio channel.
