The bug
Lava pockets generate inside icebergs in frozen ocean biomes. They have recently been changed to be able to generate in ice or snow in mountains, but this has made them able to generate in ice spikes and icebergs.

Added my own example rather than make another. As soon as I saw lava in an iceberg I knew it was a bug.
Added another example found, though this could be Mojang's attempt to simulate what is going on in the Arctic circle, in Minecraft.
Would it be possible to add block tags for what springs can generate in, which are separate for water and lava (water can generate in snow and ice, but lava cannot)?

Found one myself. Adding a screenshot with F3 info. (I explored the nearby Ice Spikes and found lava coming out of a few of them too. Very odd to see.)
