Recipe book stays highlighted blue after clicking on it

After selecting the recipe book in the inventory it will remain highlighted even if you're not hovering on it. This was not the case in 1.19.3

How to reproduce

  1. Open your inventory in survival.

  2. Click on the recipe book.

  3. Notice how it remains highlighted even if the cursor isn't on it.

Expected result
The recipe book button would only highlight when hovering on it.

Observed result
The recipe book button remains highlighted after clicking it, even if you're not hovering on it.

Can confirm in 1.20.5 pre-release 1.

this also happens with the arrows in a written book, even though a writable book doesn't have the issue. 

As already mentioned in this report, I want to say and confirm that I noticed too this issue in Java Edition version 1.21.4
