[MC-2920] Wrong Fishing Line Calculation

While you fishing with the fishing rod and click MouseButton1 (for striking with the rod) the fishing line is in the air. You see it on the photo.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w04b? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Yeah, in 15w32c, it's still not perfect, but it is much improved. Since Mojang obviously changed something deliberately, if they think it's good enough, then it's good enough, and they can improve it more later if they feel like it.

That's not the same issue, it's another issue that the fishing line goes up instead of down when casting.
