Taken screenshots are rendered as a black image on Intel graphics of Gen7 and Gen7.5 architecture

The bug

Screenshots taken in-game now render as a black image. This didn’t happen in 25w15a, and might be specific to some devices.

How to reproduce

  1. Open an instance of 25w16a.

  2. Create or open any world.

  3. Take a screenshot with the F2 key.

Can confirm, happens on my old intel laptop.

I am having the exact same issue on Intel HD Graphics 4000 and i am still unable to screenshot, including 1.21.7 the issue persists, no way of fixing

Same issue here and still up to date with the 1.21.8 Release Candidate 1.

When I take a screenshot in 1.21.8 they come out black but when I use less recent versions (1.21.4, 1.21.3 etc.) this does not happen

I'm having the same problem, it's annoying. I took a bunch of photos and saw they were all black, and I didn't know this was happening. My reaction to seeing the entire photo folder black: 😐

It's still happening in the latest Snapshot, specifically in Snapshot 25w32a.

Still present in Minecraft Snapshot 25w34b

It can be confirmed in Snapshot 25w35a
