Zombies, husks, and drowned hold out their offhand arm instead of their mainhand arm when holding a spear, which looks a bit strange. This could be related to a bug fix though.

i think this should be relooked into because all other mobs hold spears normally except for the mobs mentioned in this issue.
Despite the resolution, this appears to have been fixed in 26.1-snapshot-3. Zombies now hold spears in much the same pose that drowned hold tridents.
@tryashtar This change created its own issue, now zombie mobs doing charge attacks no longer looks right.
The zombie in this image is doing a charge attack (the spear is held sideways), but because it’s using the normal targeting pose it just holds it in the air. The spear’s attack hitbox hasn’t changed, so it is also visually misleading as to where the spear is.
@tryashtar @Willy No, if you let a zombie hit you once with its fist, then use the  /item command to give it a spear, you'll notice that its animation reverts to the behavior from previous versions—with the incorrect arm position still present. This makes it more likely an accidental bug rather than an intentional change, and the issue remains unfixed as of 26.1 snapshot 7.MC-305702
Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Working as Intended.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
