Shelf mushrooms only generate on base ground logs, or with a chance of 1 block higher if there is a block in front. instead of being able to appear to at any height. In Bedrock Edition, shelf mushrooms are also at higher trunks, not only on the lowest log. I suspect this also causes trees to have very few shelf mushrooms because they only have one trunk at the base capable of generating them instead of being able to appear at any trunk, while they are still common on fallen trees because, being horizontal, they have many trunks to generate at ground level.

Its different to MC-190609 because cocoa generates at the two lowest heights above ground when should generate at the two highest spaces below leaves. While shelf mushrooms generate at the one lowest height instead of any height from ground to leaves

I found a counterexample, though it's quite rare — just this one, as far as I can tell

I tried and it seems that trees are generated independent to the seed in single biome mode, because terrain is the same but not trees. But I know there are many ones like this that generate one block higher, but this is because it counts the ground block that is in front, not the one right below
This is caused by the bug rotating the shelf mushrooms 180°. I don’t know how it is related, but I fixed that bug with a mod, and trees generate on different spots now and the shelf mushrooms also generate higher up.
