[MC-41949] Constant Chunk Updates

I recently update my private server hosted on my laptop, to 1.7.4 and also my client. I was playing on the server by myself and at times I am getting 66 chunk updates but average about 40, (on my client). It runs perfectly fine, however when it updates I go from a sudden 30fps to maybe 1 or 2. I Have no idea why this happens. There is also no red bars in my Server Screen.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.

Are you getting the same lag in Singleplayer?

Also, please attach the complete output of the "Development console" tab of the launcher, and the server log.

Click the text, press CTRL-A to select all, then CTRL-C to copy, and CTRL-V to paste in a comment on this ticket.

If the launcher closes after game start, please edit your profile and select "Launcher visibility" then, "Keep the launcher open".

Im getting this too, more like 300 chunk updates though. And its only on the server.

No problem prior to 1.7.4

same here it isn't as severe but it has the same effects and im in minecraft snapshot 14w04b and it occurs when just hanging around my base I have 217 entities js if that helps

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
